Dangit.... im trying to figure out how to make some decent power at 7k without being a pig.... LOL I like big turbo's but they dont like thin air!

Well the GA Diesel Load dyno told me one thing and the track 2 weeks later told me another!!! BIG Difference

My 62/71/13ss over S480 (80/96/1.32) with Race Cover

My truck has never made lots of total boost, 62-67 psi for top spikes..

GA Diesel's Load cell dyno said the engine made 752/1292

2 weeks later I ran several consistant times, Best was my 11.22@120.6 mph
Which calculates on our HP calc. to be 863HP to the wheels.

over 100hp difference from dyno to track numbers....

Thanks for all the replies guys it's good all the diff combos and how some of u guys make nice power with not much boost I hope to get my boost up and make something good will see keep em coming thanks again guys

2001 24v 481hp at 42 psi on a htt 62/65/12

1999 24v with stage 2 and hurricane 2's did 60 psi on a super b special. Now it has a htt 64 over s475. Does 75 psi with no chips. Not sure on hp yet, havent dynoed

You should pay more attention to the guys making big power at lower boost levels.
Think airflow...not how much hot air you can cram in there.

Great point. Boost is only a restriction. I see 95psi on the street in my dd and that is due to a stock 12v head and stock cam. I bet when I get my motor back together boost will be way down.

CFM>PSI

Here's a friends car 4 years ago....twin 88's on a small block....pegged the 1800 hp dyno software with only 32 PSI
The stuff he has now is twin 108's on billet big blocks making close to 4000 hp at around 40 PSI

PSI means exactly jack sh!t....

If I remember right, Eric Brown made 1,100 at like 75psi with intercoolers on both stages. Less boost with good power=more efficient engine.

All I'm talking about is it's neet to see the different levels of boost and Hp

More boost doesn't neccessarily mean more power!!:poke:

66 over 84 ...64 psi on the dyno... 927 hp

When ur truck was dynoed did u or he break boost it and I'f so what boost did u see before he let it open up I'f u understand the ?

There is no corelation between the 2....air makes power. Boost just means there's crap in the air's way.
