Pro Street Trucks at TS

So is this the 4500# 4x4 you were talking of in post #6? WoW, really a 4500# 4x4. That could get interesting for sure. We are planing on being there again this year as well, my altered and a PS truck

This thing weighs #5,590 with the driver. With a different driver it would weigh much less!:bang
I think JQmile is talking about the driveline.

Aah. From my past Pro Street 2x4 truck I really seen no poss. way to get down to 4500# with a full body 4x4 prod. pick up truck, cant get around all that weight of the extra heavy ass front axle and t-case and ass. drive line parts. Your project is cool as hell and cant wait to see it in person. Good luck.
Ryan

Meacham wishes his truck was 4500 LOL

Yeah I was talking about his drivetrain, although I think you could get a 4x4 1st gen down to 4500 with mud racing driveline parts and some fiberglass.

I think you could get a duramax down to 4500 with the same stuff. Nobody has built a light chassis yet. Jeff

Do you have to run the stock chassis (or at leat half of it) in Pro Street? FYI with a tube chassis and a bunch of lightweight stuff, Ms. Misery (the blown alky 4wd drag truck) only weighs about 3300#.

I don't think so Ken. It's just to far and to long of a drive. It would be 3 days out and 3 back plus time there. If I don't work I don't get paid.Times are tight, it's going to be rough to make the other races. Jeff

I can understand that. Tough enough these times the way it is. Matt was saying they might come when I was back in Bowling Green last fall, wonder if he is still planning on coming?

.... They still believe whatever he says over there LOL

What you think we will see for times this year? They should drop the limits for both the 2wd and 4wd trucks. Why do we need to run so heavy?:kick:

If you can get your truck that light why not move up a class? If you drive what's in your signature I assume you are joking.

Thanks, but why run such a big truck. No joke. Really, the big trucks weigh a ton, dump a few thousand pounds, the et's will nearly match the gaser stuff. Just cause I have my work truck on my signature, doesn't mean that I don't have a truck. I'm glad that the rules got changed.

He is alive and well I just saw him last weekend. I also got to see his new engine. It was right next to the old one he supposedly blew up. I would post the pics I took and the ones he sends regularly but I don't know that he would want me to and you all know it takes me a lot to stir the pot.

Well... Rich is alive, he posted over on CF about goin to Steele

I guess to answer your question at least for me I wanted to race a full framed truck that was still street legal and see how quick you could make it. If I were trying to go light I would build a tube truck and go really light. The 1/2 ton and smaller trucks are nice, but not what I wanted to build.

Did he split the block or kicks rods out?
