Project DeRanged truck progress

Is it running yet? How hard could the wiring be? Red goes to positive and black goes to negative. :poke: LOL LOL Believe it or not I do know something about wiring so if you do need some help let me know and I'll help where I can.

Huge day today, the MAP and MAF sensors came in.

That is my buddies 38 Scarab with twin 575SC's. Mid 90's boat. There is also a 35 fountain in there with a pair of BUILT 525's that should run over 110 when the bugs are out of it.

So there's two bad ass boats in there along with deranged? Thats awesome.

When are the oil lines going to be there?

Yeah, and in the winter there will be 3 when I move my 32 foot Baja in there.

Dropping it of at Trusted to have them finish up the turbo install on Thursday morning. Kind of surprised them, but as soon as they are finished with it, it will be ready to fire........I hope. LOL

Can I get the cliff's Note version of this thread, cause that's a lot of reading... Skipped through and looked at pics, nice job. I'm Jealous, I working on similar swap into an 97 f150 prerunner I have. And i'm probably about 6 months behind you. BTW how the fingers healing?

Basically, Tim and a bunch of guys here on CompD got together to build a drag truck.

The original ranger didn't work so well. So, Tim bought another ranger. (That is why you see a yellow one and a black one).

Gene did all of the body/frame fabrication to get it to where it is now. A bunch of sponsors have got on board to help Tim out. He sold his left nut to build the motor and get to where he is now.

Now there are just a few details left and the truck should be going down the track.

Then the fun starts. Tuning the chassis and power train!

I've had A long DAY... just wanted to say thanks. I had not really laughed until just now.

The funny thing... Talk to any of the racer folks and you'll hear about the same thing. No talking about how much $$ they have or how "they" can do stuff or hear them describe every detail of arduous task. Most of the time you'll just hear "I worked pretty hard" or something like that. Heck, they might even buy YOU a cold one.

How long does it take to install a set of turbo oil lines? :poke:

I always knew ford's were a pain in the butt to work on but geez. LOL Looking forward to it running.
