Your wife did really well. I was very impressed with that pull....didn't expect it to launch like it did.

Thanx, that was only her second time pulling so she was thrilled. We were quite pleased for just having a intake, exhaust, and my own (save o tranny)efi live tune It ran pretty good.

Yeah, I'll sell it or fix it if it doesn't sell. I can't afford at this time to go full bore with a Dmax. Some things in my life need addressed and a year without truck payments would be a great help too. Don't worry I'm a competitor with a strong desire to win, some don't realize that with how quiet I usually am at the events. I will be back, I plan on being in the pits working with some of the locals and hopefully getting some of the local rules up to snuff too. When I come back I'll strive to be the man to beat again, it's just going to take time and right now isn't that time. The plan is bigger and badder in 09 with a dedicated pulling truck ;)

I got a good set of stock rods and a good stock cam with keyway I will donate to the cause. I dont have any spare good pistons.

I appriciate it John, if the block is good I think through the help of the Western PA Dmax family getting it up and running in stock form should be easy. I appriciate it to death, like that Tracy Lawrence song, "it's times like these when you find out who your friends are"

Do me a favor and dont even start that thing! If the piston fails completely the rod will trash the block looking for a way out. Chances are your block and crank are still good right now.

Adam when Bill (twice) cracked a piston it was like a fog machine out the exhaust. You said when you started it that the idle was smooth. His truck shook like an off balance washing machine. I didn't see any smoke out the pipe when you started it at the Hole. Are you sure that it didn't just blow off the oil fill cap and cause the fire?

adam put it back together!!! thanks for the hitch sun worked great put me 6 feet infront of 2nd (Beggs) and it made up for the woopin at the hole sat (can't get bite there)

Nice job Kev-truck sounds good, and no bounce.

Are you blind, or just patronizing him? Boinga, boinga, boinga, that thing was on the verge of HUGE bouncing, you still have work to do Kevin!

However, nice job on the hooks, you went down the track to the business end.

Thanks Gene, I have to give you some credit. One of the things you told me to do has helped. It's so dark there I couldn't see the rear tire in the mirror. On the tight tracks I can't baby it out of the hole at all. Too soon or too late to release the clutch and it will still bounce. Took a couple tries but I got it done. Last 6 pulls: 15th (in the rain at Hookstown), two 3rds, 2 2nds and a 1st.

Well, even a sledpulling master, such as myself,:hehe: can only help so much with your choice of pulling truck!!!
Did you see I coached a Ford to a win at Stoneboro, last week? Miracles do happen, even I didn't expect that outcome.

Yes I did see that. Kinda why I was a little upset over what happened at the DHRA event there. It's not always a power track.

Thats funny you say that, because the guys that pulled both events, insisted the track was totoally different.

It looked exactly the same to me!!!LOL
