Pulling and suspension set-up

Actually, the main reason is to keep from breaking Tie Rod Ends. The Center Link tries to rotate and which pulls on the tie rods, which can cause them to break where they neck down and are threaded, BUT it's just insurance for the CV's also.:)

Dropping the front end has nothing to do with the tierods, sleeving the tierods fixs that problem. The centerlink rotating up pulls on the tierods that make the front tires toe in which creates more drag & darty.
The whole reason for dropping the front end on an IFS truck is to level the CVs, CVs on an angle are flirting with disaster.

I was also debating removing my 2" leveling spacers for the same reasons. Not sure, though what advantage it will make if any. Also plan on going with a roll pan to move the hitch point forward as far as possible. I've been looking for the hitches that come through the license plate hole in the roll pan but have been unable to find one for it. Anyone know what I'm talking about, or do they only make them for smaller trucks?

Anybody have any experience experiementing both suspension leveled and unleveled?

there are a bunch on ebay right now, i looked last night for a buddy of mine. just gotta figure out how to pick them up/ship them

Mr. Chirs get's them at mostly actions. He and his family own a good sized farm equipment business and have been all over the world buying and selling farm equipment. He cut's some good deals and is a great guy to know and do business with! P.S. He has a obsession with guns so if you got any good ones for trade he probly would do that LOL.

TJ where are the located?

Some of you that are far away, there might be some of these that are close.

Primarily SW missouri.

If you are looking for weights most are 100 pounds. IH made 75 pounders but they are really hard to get a hold of and around here are more expensive than the 100 pounders. We have several thousand pounds of weights since we pull tractors and use them on the farm. IMO the best hanging weight that will sit on the weight bracket is the IH's. Watch out though there are alot of weights out there that are cast exactly like an IH weight but are a knock off and they don't hang as good. Ford also made a very good weight and they come in 85 pounds I think. (I'll have to check.) There are several places around home here to get weights, I'll make some calls in the morning and post some stuff up for you guys if you would like.

Aww...you're so sweet. And by the way. I do not have an obsession with guns. I can stop anytime I want...I just don't want to:D

TJ, nice idea's for the weights, looks awesome!!
However, I did forget to send something along. I have "wedges" that lock the weights onto the bracket. They insert into the rectangle holes, and clamp the weights together so they cant move.

PM me your address;)

What are you gonna have on the bottom of your bracket to lock the bottom of the weight to the bracket, or are you just planning on letting them hang. Mine slide on from the side so they cant' pop off.

The part I'm gonna send him should cure that problem...if he want to use them!

once I get it fabbed up on the truck, ill figure out what I need to weld on the bottom to keep them in place.

My buddy Will with the Blue dodge seems to pull pretty good in the Street class with a 2" leveling kit. And if you wanna hang some weights this is the front hitch i bought to accept the weight braket I made for it.

I was thinking about going with a Road Armor bumper for the front with a receiver hitch but might save the money for now and spend it else where and was looking at those hitches. But what I was talking about before was the rear hitches that hide behind the license plate on the rear roll pan. Haven't been able to find them.

Only drawback to an aftermarket bumper is every now then you'll run into a pull that doesn't allow hanging weights OR aftermarket "heavier" bumpers. Happened to Getblown5.9 if I remember right...

Yeah im not sure what kind ofrear hitch is needed for that, but as stated at the Buck and some places there are rules for aftermarket bumpers not being allowed.
