Pulling and suspension set-up

I looked for a hitch that goes behind a roll pan but came up with nothing. Any good metal shop could build one though....shouldn't cost to much either.

there are a bunch on ebay right now, i looked last night for a buddy of mine. just gotta figure out how to pick them up/ship them

Not sure if you can take advantage of this or not or even if they do it in the States but up here in Canada the cheapest way to ship smaller heavy objects is by bus. My buddy bought hanging weights for his Deere and were 2000miles west in Alberta. Called the local bus station out there and they picked up 1200lbs of them for him (just had to have the seller take them to the local terminal). Cost was less than 1/4 of what curiors charge and half of what a trucking company would have.

Just an idea...Ryan

IH weights

where or what brand has lighter weights? It gets old moving 100#s three and four times per pull.

IH weights come in 100 and 50

Allis Chalmers weights come in 64, 88, and some 103lbers. Deutz-Allis and AGCO Allis weights come in 64, 88, and 123lbers. Massey Ferguson might have them from 25 to 150, IIRC!

Chris did you have any luck with the weights I was referring to?

Not yet...got another pile I need to dig into though. They are not very accessible in the mud by forklift, so I get to do it by hand:D

Should be able to let you know this afternoon!
Chris

for the record, the AC's you sent me were 90 lbs a piece...someone made them 2lbs heavy!

my scale could be off, its just a cheapo bathroom scale.

that plate for mounting them came in at a hefty 54lbs

i hate to say this, but i may not even be using that plate...my neighbor has a piece of I-beam that will fit these weights perfect, they have to slide on, so its impossible for them to fall off. if thats the case, i can bring this plate back to you in Ky at TS...we'll see how it works out.

Could you post up a pic of this "plate" you all are talking about??? Is it not the U-shaped piece from the front end of a tractor?

Close...the one I sent TJ is more of a "J" turned on it's side;)

The pictures he posted above show it exactly!
