Pulling clutch

Dave Radzierez - did not have a tube chasis

We were involved in the clutch problems with peter this summer, and it was exactly as he described it, i actually think the clutch he was speaking of (through together and shot it out the door was ours), The last clutch we got from him with the new friction material and the right springs has been better then ever, and this is on a 950hp setup.

Haisley also makes some really nice clutches, you just have to use a weighted if you are making some power!!!

Dont know anything about turbo terry, but cheaper is not always better see next example

Kenny's pulling parts---- a crook. I talked to him 2 years ago about building a triple disc clutch for a new application he quoted a price and saidhe would need an engine and trans for the build. About 2 weeks later i drop off a bare block, trans, all the bolts and spacer plates, and a starter and a$1000 down payment. 10 months later and two visits to his 3hr away shop by me my clutch is finally done. But oh yeah it is a double disc not a triple because kenny doesnt think that my truck will make the power and rpm needed to lock his triple up, ( i want a triple let me worry about making the power) It is not sfi certified It is a cast pressure plate, and when it gets delivered back to my shop the damn thing doesnt even have a ring gear on it for the starter!!! and all of the fingers are at diffrent heights. Then he calls me and wants me to pay the remaining money that we agreed on for a new custom desighned triple disc!! And does not offer to take this paperweight back or refund me my money

Yes brad ingram did use a KPP clutch for a while, one of the reason i tried kenny out but he does not use them anymore

If memory serves correctly: Longer input shaft (10"), bell housing adaptor, starter spacer, and some slight trimming of the floor area to clear the shifter backwards slightly.

BBD
Sounds like some slight trimming of the rear driveshaft and maybe lengthening of the front is required as well right?

Travis, thank you for speaking up. In fact, you were not the only one this happened to. A few guys out of N. Carolina and Texas got the same faulty clutch, maybe more. Sure isn't good for our name! I hope you didn't feel we just threw it together, it was a quality controll error which I hope will never happen again. Glad to here the clutch is working out.

Can someone tell me the prices for the above listed triple disc clutches? Or if it cant be posted on here shoot me a PM. If possible with the total cost including adapters and new input.

Thanks,
Travis

if you dont want to go with a haisley then go with a south bend. i got mine at pure diesel power. call garrett he will help you get the right clutch and get you one HELL of a good price

I ran a southbend in my pulling truck, did't hold (irongiant) and they like to break the fingers on the pressure plate. Now i run a Kenny's machine 3 disk weighted clutch and works excellent. Kenny told me this is the same clutch Brad Ingram runs in his truck.

Thats your dads truck!

sorry to say bud thats not my dads truck and my dad HATES me pulling that is why i dont live with my perents any more ! he has only be to one of my pulls and dont even want to hear any thing about me pulling ! so i dont think that is my dads truck !
