Pulling with no air filter

I never ran with a filter. I used to take rubber mats and drape them in the engine compartment around the wheel well area to stop the debris from coming in. When you come to a stop at the end of the track you shut it down before the dust cloud catches up to you. No sense digging holes like so many do.

Never had a problem with this route.

Do you have o-ring or fire rings and studs? if so i would bump the timing a couple degrees. also you will prolly like it much better if you step down from the full cuts to 191's. thats what i did last week and i like it, it still smokes its arse off but its not that thick choking out type smoke, just felt like it was breathing easier with a tad less fuel in her.

Thats good to know. I'll prob give II a call and see if they will send me out a new one. If not one of you guys from Engineered Diesel will prob be gettin a call.
High Tech Turbo is where I got mine. The wheel has a number on the back that's all they needed.

jfaulkner, thanks for the info.

I'm actually still on my stock head gasket and bolts. Waiting for it to blow to put a ported and oringed head on it. Somehow its lasting with all that timing and 60psi boost. I'm prob gonna give 24 degrees a try def switching to some 191's.
