Race Truck build...

what are we talking for a price on the pistons? specs? how much valve relief cut is there?

the truck is really coming along........ mines still sitting :(

it was little over 2k for the pistons.. all aluminum same material that top fuel dragster pistons are made of.. and a new coating that top fuel uses as well from Ross...they are 100% custom to order.. specs I'm not gunna devulge them because some of it I'm keeping a secret..for competition purposes...

Plus if that wierd Idaho guy is creeping on my thread he wont be prived to specs.. he will get to see it perform instead...!!!:tree:

Looks like Christmas comes everyday in Colorado. :lolly: Can't wait to see it at the track.

Nice build keep it coming!

sorry guys I forgot to take pics today... got the cage all painted and carpet cleaned ready to go in tied up a bunch of loose ends.. removed all the power window stuff except for the drive door.. cleaned to engine compartment looks brand new again.. gunna paint the sides of the engine bay gloss black and the firewall with lizard skin ceramic coating...took the speakers out too..

plans this week is to finsh the interior... and get the new suspension on.. tires mounted on the wheels and maybe on the truck for a mock up... and mill the inside the valve cover for the new rocker set up....

thanks for piston info- wade i have ur number- just no time to call yet

on the power windows...... fyi- keep the pass side in operation- my drag truck pass side is disconnected and let me tell you it gets hot pretty quick when you only have one working window----- nothing better in the summer when comming back on the pit road with both windows down and the air trying to keep you alittle cooler / or when your sitting in the staging area to let the heat excape

I was going to use the lizard skin in my engine bay but when I was reading it says only to 350 degrees you think it would be ok?

I would plate the backside of those shackles. I've seen them break at the welds before.

rhino liningn is pretty good and they have 2 types -thin and thick I did the inside of my cab and it kills the sound and keeps the heat out.

well I got almost all the interior done today.. the hard parts anyways... and few other secret things...
