rail cap vs. dual feed line

I've never capped my rail and it's the original RV.....

Anybody have a clue how much it may be hurting my power???....Although, I'm not complaining about what I've got now..Obviously...

II's 85% over pump came plumbed for the dual feed line, and it makes sense on a pump flowing way over stock.

Gains on a stock pump forget it.

Disapointed it wasn't a steel line yes.

Spec'd out the blue hose and seems to me its rated for 40k, same stuff they use for water jetting.

A pipe plug in the banjo fitting is a poor idea. Even if you get a good seal on the pipe threads, the banjo threads will leak to the return.

you need that rail psi gauge to be able to watch what's going on. You may be low on the RP and capping it will get you better psi.

That stocker is supposedly only good to 23.5K...one time. If you've gone beyond that.... it's likely leaking. Leaking bad, the truck will have hard starts and run poorly

I may just be Lucky then...It's starts great and runs like a raped Ape...

I'll cap it for good measure though..Don't need it failing while racing "Scarlet Fever"!!! LOL

I still see no benefit there. My 2 pumps will flow as much if not more the that II pump and there's no need for a dual feed to the rail. You can only feed so much in there and as long as the volume/psi is available a single line gets it all it needs. I have nothing to back that up though, it's just my thoughts on it

The cap is really just a way to run higher rail psi. I can hit 27.5K and not worry that the relief let loose. I don't believe you'd ever get that much psi on a stock PRV.

Man... you done moved out of my league. I need mo monies to catch up with you now instead of you chasing me LOL

I feed the rail from 3 places, 2 lines from II's pump, and a stage 2 up top.

Figure thats better than trying to jam that much fuel through one line going into the rail.

I agree I wouldn't mind a second feed. Not that I think there's a benefit but, it would eliminate some fittings and possible leak point.

I forget who and can't find it anymore but, someone out there makes a high psi steel line to feed the rail from a second pump.

I was woundering if that would work, have you had any issues with that set up. resone I ask is I have II duel feed line that I took off when I went to twin pumps and wouldn't mind getting some use out of it . thanks shane

Works great IMO, got some billet rods now that might hold on to it. I hate the idea of no rail relief, but lots have capped it without issue....

Totally cleaning up a set of Don's 5+'s at 29,000 = mushy rods.....

cool I'll give it a try after I break in my new motor hopefully end of the month. was looking at billet rod but went with 12v us rods instead, us dollar little to high right now LOL.

No kidding! Took the lion share of the parts for this build when the C$ was 1.15 to the U.S! Boy what a :kick: now.....

sorry of topic but the U.S boys got it easy, there nothing like getting the visa bill with 25% mark up on it . oh and if any one up in canada and looking for part for capping the rail or making there own duel feed line greenline makes all that kind of stuff when I was there I saw the same blue hose that II uses for there duel feed line just my 2 cents .
