WOW, TJ. That looked horrible. I can see your point that it was a huge waste of time and that the operators of the event obviously don't relize the potential of putting on a good show.....more pullers, more spectators, more things sold=more money for their fireman. In these terms, it would be ALOT MORE respectfull to the fireman to put on a good show.
On the flip side of this I can tell you that in my area we have a local sled that breaks down often. Last year, while I was working at Floor It Diesel, we called the operater after a close pull and had him bring the sled by the shop.
After I spent 2 hours power washing the grease and dirt off, we then spent 2 full days adjusting gears and pulleys, changing all the fluids and putting a few new switches and gauges in, all at our own cost. We then spent one afternoon tuning the sled in out back in the pasture. Now the sled is operates flawlessly and pulls are much more entertaining.
Just call the operater and offer up some help. You don't have to put in 3 full days or anything, but supporting the sport comes in many forms.
Mama always said, ''There are those who just complain and those who go out and change things for themselves".
Of course the guy may tell you to piss off, too.
Truck looks and sounds great, though. Good luck this year.
