So, what's the scoop on this lately?

I heard that Mr Don was starting to take other companies injectors/tips and rebuild them.

I'm sure II will rebuild them as well.

I'm just not all warm and fuzzy about 6 new bodies at $350/each right now.

I'm ok with replacing the one or two injectors that may be bad and not-repairable, that's cool.

DonM can and will repair them if possible....Test / Flow them for you as well

No need for new ones unless he says....

Well, I gave Tim Barber a quick call. $125-$225 per injector and 3-4 day turn around once in Don's hands. That's reasonable.

It will be worth the wait, as long as you can afford to put the truck down for a few and have another ride....

go for it!!

I've used m&d distibutors before to test the injectors. 60 a piece. They don't rebuild tho

I can do the car thing. the GF lives with in walking distance of work now. however I'd hate to make he walk if it's raining....

I'm going to ponder this.

Talked to II. They are a little pricier to rebuild the injectors. The fella I was speaking to was actuality rather profession and not pushing anything other then what I was asking for. yaay! :) not like the other II experiences I've had on the phone.

Got one idea from II for a good way to "measure an amount", I'm curious if others can verify, but the "shot glass a minute" test from the return line on the head. If I'm more then this, I certainly do have an issue. If not, then I should look elsewhere.

PM 01PPump on here. He rebuilds CR injectors and does a fine job of it too. Alot faster than Don M, The turn around from Don M has never been close to the week he predicted for me.

No hard start. no white smoke. runs smooth.

Just wondering where the lack of rail pressure and slow climb is from 2300rpm and up. I'm maxing out at 23,000-24,000 with mp8 up all the way.

150 sticks, wicked stage 3. new crossover tubes. Pump is less then a year old. I can get the turbo to spool 55-56-ish psi off the bad but she drops to 50 and holds and I can run damn near Banks Clear. :)

This HTT 64 really cleans up nicely over the PS62, assuming I can get over 50psi

I'm sure I should be able to hold 25-27 all day long.

Sounds more like the pump not keeping up than a injector issue. Are you making any oil?

no, I've been checking every morning. infact I'm losing oil. there is a little leak on the drain tube seal. I have seen a few puff's of oil-blue every now and then. maybe the turbo rebuild wasn't perfect? I need to fix this drain tube leak first before I re-look at the center section seals.

I've lost about say, 2 diamonds worth on the dip stick over the past week. just a touch, but enough where you need to keep an eye on things ya know.

This weekend I'll rig up something to check for flow out the return port on the head. I think I have enough stuff to re-direct the cp3 return line to a funnel and outa the way and disconnect the oem return line to a catch can.

I may as well give all the cross over tubes a turn to ensure they are all still tight.

I have to check on the TNT/R today, but prior to turbo "fixing" the TNT/R wouldn't keep 20K on #9 to save it's life. the TNT can on #9 keep 24K. I'm pinnning this on more power from a better turbo and the motor accelerating faster, hence CP3 keeping up better. I'll run things hard at lunch today to see if TNT/R #9 can sustain 24K, if so, then I do have an improvement.

Don just redid mine and threw some Flux 4 tips on, turnaround time was less than a week :rockwoot:
