Recipe for 1000hp

Rocky may have worded his question aliitle off but he has done his homework and has two very nice cummins swap runners.

What do you guys think the top 2.8 trucks are making for HP? Alot of people say 1100hp or 1200HP but we have dynoed a couple times with several combo's and on a good dyno 1000hp is not easy made.

With a legitimate 2.8" charger, 1000hp is not easily attainable. However, depending on how the turbo rules are written, it can be had easier.

I'd say 1000 to 1100hp for top 2.8 trucks.

I know of at least one 2.8 12V last year that was north of 1100.

It's not about it being secret, it's about coming to the table showing that you've already done some homework and put some thought and effort toward it. I'll help someone who is really trying hard and having issues, but it borders on insulting when someone wants your hard-earned knowldge for nothing.

Your question might as well have been phrased "please gimme a recipe to make 1000hp so I can come to the track and beat you with it." That kinda crap don't fly.

There is a TON of info in the dyno forum and in the Dodge Competition forums where you can read about what others have already offered up for the good of the community. Start there.

And talk to some vendors since they could use the business.

i hate to say it, but you are an a$$hole. you asume the OP is a tard who doesnt know $hit...funny thing is he probaly makes more power than you currently. forums are for helping, not hurting. not only are you hurting the ability of this site to be a useful, informative place, but you are hurting the reputation of this site. with posts like yours, who in the hell would want to come here and ask questions? maybe we should change the name of this site to: "ifualreadymakepower.com"

What are the specific rules on the turbo(s)? What is max inducer size for a single? With the 2.8/2.5 Twins are you allowed to bush the atmosphere charger down or must it be true? If it is bushed does the comp wheel have to protrude into the bushing?

I fully agree with BigrPowr. I have been noticing on this site lately that a few members act like its their job to police the forums. As we all know, the name of this site is Competition Diesel Forums. Well, the nature of a forum is for discussion and to ask questions for one to gain knowledge. Belittling people for posing a question on a forum is ridiculous and needs to stop. Everyone is not fortunate enough to know everything there is about their truck and where they want to go with it. If this was the case, there would be no need for a Comp D forum at all. I hope this behavior stops or the popularity and members of this great site will dwindle. We need to remember that we were the people with these questions and be thankful that people will help.

I know your truck there nwpadmax and it runs good but i will agree with these other guys your being a smarta$$!

OK, how about you tell him how to make the requested power on his engine.

Who's being the thread police now?

Atmosphere compressor housing may be no larger then 2.8 inches measured at the smallest diameter area of the compressor wheel.
A bushing may not be used on two turbo setups. The high pressure can be no larger then 2.5 inches measured at the smallest diameter area of the wheel.

A single turbo may only be 2.8 but may be bushed, Bushing must be round, must be atleast 3/4 inches long, must be mounted within 0.050 inches of the compressor wheel.
no mwe groove will be allowed or 1/4 inch.

This is for Street diesel, I can bump up to Super Street but i dont really wanna.
