Respectable HP....

once you get away from stock DV's low end smoke increases substantially.

Yes it does...

I would think it would make 550ish as it is if it has enough fuel pressure. I saw it made 60psi with the single. What kind of boost is it making with the twins?

jeez...yall with your 600 hp steet trucks in a 12v are serious... i thought i was doing somthing with my measly 475 7.3 back a few years ago... i had my old 97 dd truck at 500 with a 4500 behind it. it seemed like more than enough to get any job done. including peeling 3rd gear teeth off

Not a bunch more actually.....about 65psi.

I would think with those special injectors and DV springs its gotta be 550 with no plate and your timing.

A few years ago they weren't building Ford taurus engines with a tic under 400hp either...

The game changes quickly. I bought the majority of my setup to do 500hp ~2006. Still don't know If I got there but have had a lot of fun running it.
My version of respectible has more to do with whos hands build it than how much horsepower it made.

And when it's all said and done, they just had to fight to try and get around an old farm truck, whether they made it or not.

I was thinking...more timing? Bigger injectors? Keep the stock DV's maybe, or some 024s? They seem to be pretty clean. Bout time for a lift pump too of course.

One of my favorite setups on the street was a 64/68 with 5x18s, 20* of timing and stock DV's. Very little smoke down low and plenty of power.
