On the bottom of the page it says "manage attachments" you can click on that to upload them from your computer. Or just copy & paste a link from your photo bucket account onto here.

You might have to resize them to get them on here using the manage attachments button.

Looks good. You did it the hard way with the bed but it looks like you pulled it off with wonders. Did you tack weld the front of the bed back together?

yea they wanted 2000-3000 for a nice bed, i figured i would try to make mine work first and see how it turned out, the front piece we riveted and used caulking for metal roofs, i was going to weld but just seemed easier with the bed liner u cant even tell on the inside, ill get some more pics up later, gona attempt to lower the front also

So by moving the rear axle forward, did you have to lose a little ride height or did you purposely attach the leaf perches higher to lower the rear?

How many hours did take to do the whole job minus the body work on the bed?

Custom drive line or ???

How does it drive, more traction in 2wd than before? How's the overall handling?

Looks like an awesome project that turned out really clean!

I wondered why no one was shortening their wheelbase like you did. Looks like it works just fine! Looks great!

from the time i started removing the bed to cut off old mounts and regrind and weld on i had right at 6 hours from when the tires went off to when they were bolted back on, and about 7 or 8 more with all the lil stuff, when i started i knew i was going to lower and i knew i was going to have to get the pinion angle up so i moved the front mounts up 2" and the back about 1/2" and i have 3 leafs in right now, the angle is almost perfect. the driveshaft was made out of the 2 original ends,

It drives better as far on the road and bumps and can turn a lot better, i put in a fuel cell over the center of the rear axle, and all together everthing i cut off not including bumper and reciever hitch was right at 150lbs i spent less than $600 on everything , i was acutally going to cut the frame like i have seen others but this seemed alot easier and i could lower it at the same time

looks great man!

did my 01 the same way a few years ago. didnt like the idea of cutting the frame and peiceing back together. worked great on mine too!

you know they did make qc short beds as a production model. still looks good. reg cab short bed would have been sweeter. looks like the front still needs to be lowered

i bought it 4 years ago as a work truck, and have decided a short bed would be looks better lower, it cost alot less than trading it in and getting something with more miles and having to start all over, iv been looking for a 12v single cab long bed to do the same to also
