Sled pulling questions

i use to use a twisted clevis to but it seemed to pull me sideways so i just of a lunette ring and problem solve plus i dont trust clevis much seen to many break

My truck never pulled sideways, but it did feel kinda gumband like while pulling. I think it was stretching.
