so here we go... 2.8

24v ppump 3.0 or 2.8 motor - Competition Diesel.Com - Bringing The BEST Together

should i pick it up? i have a fluidampr already. most likely a turbo as well DIESELDRIVER has recieved payment? what do yall think about the motor?

Sounds like a decent deal, pretty much what you are wanting to do, i would sit down and jot down some numbers and see if it would be cheaper to buy it or build it. I am thinking in this case it will be cheaper to buy it, but it is your cash.

pretty sure it would be cheaper to buy. the local machine shops are quite expensive. plus the balancing. and this is drop in! :rockwoot: and comes with pump... for some reason my pms arent getting through to the guy...

ok drew i am sorry i forgot to call back. things are getting hectic around home. ill give you a call this weekend.

got my turbo. motor should be here in a few weeks. time to focus on driveline. fab my own loops? TTPA requires a transmission blanket. still havent decided on locker/limited slip. i am probably going to swap the 80 out of my 95 into the puller and keep the 3.55s... good idea with 315's?

things have been goin very slowly with school and all but i got some pics for yall:

static load is 2800# but the weights don't factor into static pressure. depends on how many weights i run.. (full weight and spinning is 5000#). going to have to play around with it a tad to get the right kick off rpm.

still havent gotten a lift pump yet and i never went to a 13mm pump, need some advice on that, i was thinking of the new airdog 2 200gph. run it around 40-45 psi. cds built 913 12mm 5kgsk, .093 holders, full cuts, benched and timed at 35*.

I think you would've been alot happier with a 13mm in 2.8.$.02

ya know i was kicking myself about that too but the thing is, most 2.8 guys i have talked to run around 550ccs of fuel give or take, and my 215 can push that on stock b&p's and cam. granted it wont be as efficient as a 13mm with ground cam but this pump will flow plenty to get me going and i can always throw new goodies in it down the road, for now my funds are going to getting this thing ready for my first event and i honestly dont NEED a 13mm to be competitive at this moment so it got shot down to lower in the list. next season i will have one though.

its also nice when you go about timing pumps with stock cams, i can still use my tool.

i actually changed a lot of that around as well. i am running a haisley intermediate 2 cam. probably airdog 200. dana 80. welded 60. stock axles. valair triple. 6x.018 JL injectors. i know im forgetting a bunch of stuff... oh 913 12mm, full cuts, .093 holders, 5kgsk.

yeah, so really our only differences are the truck its goin in and the pump, haha
