@nootch that guy doesn't have the torque of the dizul powa. I don't think you are properly understanding the danger the OP is in.

but he haz two turb's. Spinning is winning.

this better?:st:

In all seriousness make sure the dyno operator knows your concern. Make surethat he pulls it tight after every pull all straps. If he doesn't refuse to put your truck on the dyno because that guy obviously hasn't a clue what he's doing.

ISFOS

i can't find that video at the moment, but there was one where they kept piling people into the trunk (big and small) so it wouldn't spin, then the last run the strap broke and they all ate ****.

first time on a dyno son?

They strap you down into it to the point of loading up your suspension. then the drum itself is a knurled surface which is pretty grippy. I don't think i have ever been to an dyno even where a truck has spun it tires on it, and the ones i see online are always 1200+ hp.

ahem...

they strap the rear axle down, loading the tire... make sure you have enough air in them, though. JQmile raised an eyebrow over mine being ridiculously low at Rudy's the other year, like 20psi. :hehe:

im not saying anything directly, but how in the hell do you miss your tires being anything under 25psi?

Tire quality, pressure and even tread design make huge differences on the dyno. We have seen many trucks spin the tires on the rollers and a few have lost tires, but we cover more dyno events and such than most diesel enthusiasts see...

Don't bring a high power truck with cheapo "May-Pop" tires and expect good things to happen!!! You need good tires that are speed rated. Mud terrain tires are the worst for building up heat on the rollers and chucking parts of the tread from what I have seen.

dropped pressure for racing, these were street radials, didn't remember until he pointed it out.

thats a fair and reasonable response. My first time on the rollers i had to borrow a set of tires. Couldn't run my studded Dura's on it. So like an Oraler i put on a set of duals tire out.

Put a fat guy on the tailgate.

like this?

Serious question.

When I pull my gf's Traverse into the apartments garage, sometimes if I hoss the gas it will spin the tires. Literally I could roast these puppies if I wanted to stay into the throttle (crazy power, scares me). Do you guys think I should take it to have it dyno'ed by Chevy? I think they must have given it too much power! Should I be worried about it breaking Chevy's dyno?

Thanks! I guess I could pile chevy mechanics onto the hood for weight!

Drag radials do wonders at holding power on the dyno. We were only showing ~5% slip at 1250whp on a load cell.

I spun on dgrs dyno twice but after that it warmed up and hooked good enough for first place in my class.
