Sponsor needed for 33" Truxus STS's

That's what I figured you say Kevin. Hey, I seen a sticker the other day and thought about you... The only thing that runs good on a powerstroke is its OWNERS MOUTH! LMAO!

Hmmm I think my Ford kicked your Dodge azz on the track a few times there motor mouth. :hehe: :poke:

I guess the way you asked for sponsorship isn't the issue here for me.

As a potential sponsor, I want to know what you are going to do for ME. If someone is giving you products free or at cost, how are you promoting them? Are you going to put their stickers on your truck? How many pulls do you plan to attend this year, what association are you running with and what class are you setting up to pull in? How well do you expect to do when you compete? ( I know, I know...you can't really predict that, but you can give them a ballpark!!) How long is the sponsorship good for?

You may want to try telling a sponsor what you are going to do for them before asking what they can do for you.

Yes we run stickers of your choice. At least two with size relative to the amount of the sponsorship. This year we are changing the turbo to run the 2.6 class. Air Flow Systems is supplying the turbo.
I'm waiting for Power Pulling Productions (div of PPL) to get their schedule together before I make any commitments. I've worked with these guys to get their rules updated and want to try to support them. I do know that Smithton PA has five pulls scheduled and Big Knob PA has a four pull series for this year.
Last year I think we only had one pull out of the top four. At that event it started to rain half way through the field. I hope to be at the top again this year.
We put your name in front of as many people as we can in a professional manner. What people perceive me as on the forums doesn't reflect our actions at any event. We help anyone that needs it answer any questions and give advice to potential buyers.

Sound ok?

Very good advice Diesel Diva. Especially coming from a Shop that sponsors Trucks.

That's MUCH better!! Sponsors want to know what they are getting for their money/product, just as competitors want to know what they are getting with their membership to whatever association they are looking to join.

That is the best thing you could have ever put in that post. I wish everybody who has a sponsorship would read and adhere to that.

Thanks!

We get approached for sponsorships a lot. Those that present the idea well and have a plan of action usually get the money or parts. The sponsors are out there for just about anything a person could want to do...it's all in how you ask.

Tell Garrett to send me some windshield banners :evil

Put together a sponsorship proposal, and get it into the hands of those that you are wanting to sponsor you. A small post on a forum IMHO is telling potentials, that you want sponsorship, but are not willing to do the work to show them what you have to offer them in return. I have gotten many great sponsors, but by taking the time and effort it takes to show them a return on investment potential for their products, or dollars spent.

Your initial post was more akin to the kid in Mexico with the Chiklets. LOL

sorry kevin...i had to jump on the band wagon and mess with you a little bit. And yes you are a great competitor. I wish you the best with your sponsors! I could use a few myself!

After I posted that I hoped you took it the right way.
You need to get that truck done. It's not the same without you guys

I agree that doing a sponsorship proposal (Standard Word doc. is good), include the info Diesel Diva listed as well as contact information of your other current sponsors, modifications of your truck, your contact info, what you are looking for, etc...
The key thing being how you plan on getting them exposure.

Most will (and should) have you fill out and sign a sponsorship agreement.....that normally allows them to charge you full MSRP (they ask for a CC #)if you don't hold up your end of the bargain.

Any luck yet?

I noticed a set of said tires on pulloff.com. I'm pretty sure that guy has been liquidating his parts in a large volume manner. Best of luck.

Thanks, We really appreciate it. It's coming slowley...But it should be ready by April. I'd like to get some sponsors...I have Nathan which is awesome and Sankbeil tire, and Keystone diesel. But I probably asked 30 companies last year. Unfortunatley no one around here wants to support diesel sled pulling..Everyone is more towards Dirt track racing, or motorcross. Thats what i've seen.
