Spoolin' the front?

I have a spool in it now. Well a welded solid Detroit to be exact. It isn't really streetable with the solid rear end, drives ok but very hard on the tires. If you still want to drive the truck on the street you have to get the ARB. That is really your only choice. Put ARB in the front and the back, problem solved. There are a ton of aftermarket axle parts for the DANA 80, like double spline axle shafts. If you run stock axle shafts, put down over 500 hp, pull with it and want to drive the truck on the street the only thing to do is ARB lockers, both axles.
 
I ran a welded open for several months. The welds broke twice. It isn't on the track that they break. They broke on the street. Correct on the axles too. If you have a good hooking track and are over 550 or so, your gonna break D80 axles.

not really a pulling or racing thing, more a streetable and not getting stuck in the mud thing...
