Straight pipe with 64/71/14 anyone?

My mitre cut stack was awful for drone. Under load taking off from a light, especially with a trailer, it would rattle your brains out. On the interstate it was like that the whole time! The bull hauler took a lot of that out. Its still fairly loud in the cab, but much more tolerable, especially since i usually dont make many road trips.

My 4 inch out the back sounded awesome and wasnt loud at all in the cab. Sometimes i think about changing it back!

I've got the exact setup you're referring to and I love it. It does drone between 2250 and 2500. According to what gear/tire combo you have, it may potentially be really annoying and it may not. Fill out your sig with gearing included. I don't mind drone or turbo noise. Anything I can do to get a more up-close experience with the fury being unleashed under the hood I take advantage of it.

It's a man rule, if you own a cummins you have to have a straight pipe. Those big ugly canisters should only be found attached to vehicles powered by a type of fuel that is followed by "octane".

I have 4.10's with 33" tires.

When I put my Silver Bullet (with the 74 wheel) on my 07, it changed the sound of my truck totally. Sounded much cleaner with less rasp and more whistle. Big difference over the stock charger. Sounded real good when I had the 6" Aussies in it with 5" turbo back with no muffler.

Then I guess I'm not a man because I much prefer driving my truck with a muffler on it than without. Drove it for 7 years with straight pipe out the back, dumped, and with stacks, and after putting a muffler on it last year I'll never go back to not having one. The truck is just way to much of a pleasure to drive not having to listen to the droan.

lol, you should run the exhaust pipe into the cab!!!

I replaced my exhaust tailpipe yesterday & eliminated the muffler. What I don't understand is that it sounds the same as before? Only difference is that it is slightly louder at wot.
