just wanting to see who is all going to make it. i know its a pretty big pull been there the last two years and had a blast.

Also wondering if there is any way we can talk them into letting us have weights up front??

the last guy I saw pull down there with hanging weights had to make an exhibition run. I maybe down there if im not at work

i would really like to be able to run weights because it cuts down the risk of breakage!

I'll be there. Wish they had more classes!!!
Be nice if they would do a 2.6 and under and 2.8 and up.

Well my truck will hopefully be good to go for Tampico. I am going to try and make that my first hook. So what are the rules and classes there? No hanging weights?

What about safety equipment and things? U-joint shields etc? Time that the pull starts and cost to hook?

Thanks for any info guys. :thankyou2:

really anything goes except no hanging weights! but i would like to get them to let us run weights. last year it was like $20 to pull, not sure what time the trucks start.

Yeah they should let everyone hang weights........

The reason they don't allow hanging weights is because they equate that with highly modified non-street trucks. The same goes for the hood stack trucks.

Someone at some point got their panties in a bunch over being beat by or whatever by a truck with hanging weights or a hood stack and whined and moaned.

The rule is not really about teching at all.

The only way people would ever get to hang weights is to get enough pullers together and just hang them and say were pulling with weights or not pulling.
But from my experiences most people are too pussified to ever speak up or stand together in truck pulling.

I for one would be glad to volunteer my services to tech trucks or whatever if that meant the pullers getting to hang their weights.

well lets get a list of pullers on here that are gonna be there to pull and want to hang weights.

I would happy if they just teched the turbo with a plug. Thats all the tech they would need to do.

I'll be there and want to hang weight so i'm in. I know a few people involved with tampico. I might try to say something to them before it gets here.

the rules are single turbo...no hood stack...and no hanging weights good luck getting more than one class that might actually be the right thing to do instead of 3.0 turbo trucks beating all the local farm trucks and then bragging about it.

i would show up if we could hang weights dont want to break anything without weights

NO weights/ NO hook stack. THATS ABOUT IT.

Awesome..thanks Aaron.

Well I will be bringing my weights with me. So count me in to hang weights if we get enough guys to say we are gonna do it then that would be nice. But I just want to hook either way. But weights will be prepped and ready to go if need be :rockwoot::rockwoot:

who said they have to tech them?

If you had a 2.6 class an a 2.8 class there would have to be some kind or tech or you would have all the big trucks trying to pull in the small class. But I agree that the no hanging weights rule is stupid I say bring ur weights and see what happens maybe if there is enough people with weights they will either say your not pulling or make another class.
