Tampico, IN truck pull June 20th

I think there would be a lot more trucks to show up if there were a 2 classes and a few changes to the rules. They really dont have to do a lot of teching if they dont want to. I will offer my time to some a plug check some trucks. I already have a 2.6, 2.8 and 3.0 plugs at the shop.

If they would just combine the workstock and 2.6 trucks and then 2.8/3.0 trucks run together.

I thought about bringing my truck to run but I cant compete with 3.0/3.2 trucks.$.02

Just have to keep it not too complicated and it should work.

Of course the first thing people will need to all bring their weights to be ready use them. Just talking or asking has not remedied the situation and I know the diesel truck pullers bring in the big crowds on Saturday night and the pullers should have their say as to how they pull.

I think a 2.6 and a 2.8 class would go over pretty well but first lets get them weights hangin before we try to conquer the world with different sized turbo classes.
In the end I think the turbo classes are a better way about going things since weight hanging and no weight hanging classes would have several of the slimeballs trying to beat up on the stock/farm trucks that are not going to hang weights.

thats funny....its just a bunch of old time tractor pullers out to have some fun.

im going to watch im not going to pull unless i get traction bars on before ill bring weights though and a 2.6/workstock class would be nice but if not o well

Well I am bringing my truck there to pull. I am bringing my weights with me as well...so hopefully if enough of us bring them we can get them to change the rules or let us pull in a different class.

I know I do not stand a chance against the bigger trucks..so unless things change up then I guess we will just have to see when we get there.

Ill be There. not sure if i am gonna pull. I have been going there for a while now and it always ends up being a good turn out. i know off about 3 truck going that are pulling and about 100 just to watch. And to anyone who is going to drink up there there are cops wondering around dressed like us looking for under age drinking and just plain stupid drunks.

Just an FYI....Diesel Power Magizine is gonna be there covering the pull..........

i was told tractors start at 6 and trucks are usually last so it will be later if i remember trucks usually wont start till like 10:30 or later. Anyone on here remember what time trucks usually start about?

maybe i should leave later............

Yeah..probably not a bad idea man.

I am going to be showing up around 8 or 9 probably..but right now it looks like I might be spectating...if all goes well it will be ready to pull but I am going to have a long Friday night :bang:bang

I wouldnt raise too much hell guys. Im working with the fire department already on this issue for next year.

I will hopefully be in charge of all diesel trucks. The easiest for me would be to run a 2.6 class and an open diesel... If you dont plug 2.65 youre in the open. Simple

Everyone can hang weights and i dont give two shi** what else you do..
I will expect driveshaft loops and safety equipement in open diesel but 2.6 is pretty well optional but they too should run loops etc...

Dont push this issue too hard for this pull because its kinda too late being a week away to change alot. But i have had several conversations with them and I do believe I can change things for the better for our truck class...

But it will only take a couple pricks to piss em off and we will be back to square one with those guys not caring about pickups. So my advice is lets all be respectful this pull. I see changes coming in the future.
