Trailers, the little things

I have a cushion tilt trailer,, I would like to be able to make it lock in position, so that I could actually use a winch. What happens now if I try to pull my truck up is that the trailer starts to tilt down before I get the truck on.

I mounted a couple of leveling jacks on the back of my bumper pull. They keep the trailer level when putting a truck on it. You can also jack up the trailer to change the tires. I also made the fenders removable, to get a little more clearance for trucks with wide tires.

Does it use a hydraulic cylinder to control the tilt? If it does, or if you added one, adding a simple valve would allow you to lock the bed and keep it from tilting when you don't want it to.

I have been modding the trailer over the last couple weeks. I added a winch, relocated the chain box, modded the chain box and added some load lights.

I added a 1 1/2" angle to the bottom of the chain box so you cannot get the kotter key out
