Been looking at transmission blankets for the Pro Street truck and what are you guys running? I have yet to find any specifying fitment on the 48re are you just using one for the Powerglide or what?

nothing to do here at the shop, so im seeing whats so cool about the forums

Depending on how fast you are it is in the rules that you need to run a tranny blanket. I am going to be running the bigger one of the 2 listed above. I am running the Dr Performance blanket. Good unit fits good

i'll let them kick me out - before i buy a engine blanket- lol $410 jesus

what about flex plate shields? those are required as well

I wish I would have had that engine diaper on when I blew my first engine. Would have saved me about 400 bucks worth of embarssment. Also a few dents on the car I was racing, and some oil on my calipers.

Joel by the looks of it the blanket serves as the FP shield on an automatic its not much wider than the the bell housing. That's how I see it from what I have seen.

The transmission blanket does not cover the bellhousing. A separate flexplate shield is required for 9.99

The trans blanket is required at 10.99 if my memory is correct.

That's my understanding as well.

The engine diaper is class specific.
