truck died on the road today.. now giving me these symptoms

Ahh gotter started yet again..

went so much deeper than the last time too, timing cover came off this time, a new lock washer and nut went back on... as timing cover came off.. as did gear, we checked the gear, not cracked, and pulled it off completely.. low and behold.. a slippery pump shaft.. cleaned it, and re cleaned it with brake cleaner... let it air dry for a good while, and then sanded the shaft and inside of gear with emory cloth... used a drop of loctite, followed Lynns procedure above.. and tightened it up..

did not use the LPS cleaner, could not source it for the life of me down here, so i gave up on it...

so far truck starts and drives slow... going to let it idle up to temperature on it owns create its own heat, and shut it off.. at least two times, and then start to drive it a bit harder... and see what it does..

if it hold above 3200 rpms.. im golden and could call this project done for a while after this...

cross my fingers and see what it does...

ill report back

thanks

stitched up and held this time

thank you everyone who read this, and helped out... onward to shocks, suspension, tires, bumpers, rack, headwork, better gauges, twins and injectors...
