I have pics of most of his collection. He's definitely got it going with cool trucks.

And I agree but I understand the price. Imron paint, totally rebuilt, freakin sweet. The pic above was at the shop where the work was done when he was still up in Havre

My business partner and I just spent 6 months trying to find a K100 that was worth buying. Everybody wanted stupid money around here for non runners. Ours is getting a kitty cat with a few extra ponies though ;) That is if we don't blow it up on the engine dyno LOL

Ok opinion time...
What do you guys value these trucks at?

I was gonna say 13k on the first. Second one would depend on engine condition since the body looks fair

I see it says overhauled, but by whom using what parts, with what warranty? I've seen some ghetto ass overhauls come through here.

Why is everyone hell-bent on dropping the twins off ACERT motors? It makes no sense.

Because they bought into the PDI BS that the compounds are the problem. PDI is very very good at selling snake oil

IMHO If I was going to buy a truck I would definitely try and get into something with a air ride cab and a electronic motor just for driveability, comfort and fuel millage.

I'd go for the 379 myself, probably start at about 15k on that one. I hate Cummins engines as stated on the last page so myself, i'd pass over that 359, also WTAF is up with the freightliner sleeper cutout on the back of that thing?

43psi @100 degree IAT ain't too shabby.
Play with turbine housings and it might improve. I don't have coolant data through the aftercooler, but it could be improved with a stand alone circuit.

And for what it's worth he sold a restored KT powered k100 last year that I was absolutely in love with

I think the price on it was $5500, at that price I don't think it'll last too long maybe it's already gone now

Best bet is to delete the pre cooler all together, it's not needed and any lower air temp gained is an increase in water temp.

Trucks are stupid priced right now, and for what I'm after, people want stupid money if you can find them.

Had an international eagle sleeper on it he said.
I'm not a cummins fan per say myself. My biggest complaint is I can't drive them smooth.

Non air ride cab doesn't bother me... I don't ever "plan" to go back over the road. However I will always leave that option open if that's what it takes to pay the bills. I'd actually enjoy going back out but not being pushed like I was.

BRE, if you're looking for a truck, check out Beelman truck company in east st. Louis. They're always selling trucks.

Um no...
Fleet trucks are a negative especially something like they'd have.

Take what I say with a grain of salt, because I am not a Peterbilt fan.

I agree with Mr. T, I probably wouldn't pay more than $15,000 for the 379. But I would try to get some more history on the truck. Engine rebuild, tans work, rears, brakes. Rubber looks good which is a huge expense.

I probably wouldn't pay much more than $10,000 or $12,000 for the 359. Who knows how long ago the engine was rebuilt. They guy will probably say, "It was rebuilt 10 years ago but only has 10,000 miles on it." Well that tells me it sat for a long time and that is the worst thing for an engine. Can't really tell condition of the tires, but that would be a big factor for me.

I would suggest, in your best interest to take at least an engine oil sample from each either truck if you are serious about buying. And maybe even a sample of the trans oil and rear end oil.

I know the guy with the 379. It's been setting. He ran it up until the day he parked it because he bought another truck. He's a little high for my liking on the price right now.

The 359 I'm waiting on more info. I know he says he runs the truck daily. Says it needs nothing. I creeped on his Facebook and he's done a decent amount of work to it.
However as we all know you have to take all of that with a grain of salt and usually assume it's a lie. Lol
He's come down to 14k obo
