The outfit we're leased to has some great contracts, the stuff I'll be doing is pretty well dedicated runs with a drop and hook at each end of the trip. Challis Idaho to somewhere in PA, bounce to Michigan to a mine, swap trailers and haul ass for SLC.

Still don't know how much faith I would put in one of those for everyday use even though they list the same pull capacity as a steel one.

So.... Got the new truck to the house... I'm gonna like this truck. However I noticed something worth it's weight in gold and I'm confused about it. I'll post some pictures of the confusing goodness and some others and see if anyone can explain.

379 doors fit on a 359. Its a common thing to do to get rid of the problematic 359 window regulators. I would bet thats whats been done to yours. Same thing can be done for a model kws.

Have you seen Terry Morton's (BD oil) A-Model? It's got daylite doors on it. But I'd almost out money on that Rick's truck has the 05 Pete doors on it. Knowing what outside handle it has would confirm my suspicions

The newer style kws don't have a flat window door with no vent I don't think. Have to go to daylight doors and just can't do it ...... Yet. Maybe slow time this year I'll pull my doors apart and see what I can rig up. Toughest part will be relocating the electric window guts to still work.

They hold good at almost 200,000# gross on a set of trains. With enough drive weight the mudflap weights are sparking on the road because the suspension can't lift it.
