Truckers, lets see your rigs!

Curious to know what the price difference is with the kits, especially with the coatings on the Exoddus kits.

Anybody have first hand experience with coated parts in a working engine. Just curious to know it its worth the cost and effort. Will Caterpillar warranty parts that have been coated or take them in as a core?

Does the additional weight of the piston have any negative effects on the bottom end?

You talking about ceramic coating engine parts?

Welp I got a project

You gots yous a sleepa berth driva! :hehe: LOL :hehe: LOL

Ha you should have turned that around! With all the steel he has on the back of that truck I bet it's heavier than the front.

Good luck with your project.

Right.. lol
8k/15k axles 3.73 gears, dt466/Eaton 9sp, OEM was 245/70/19.5, some swapped 22.5s on got 11r22.5 in the back, hub pilot wheels, air ride seats(x2), cab, rear axle.. powee windows locks heated mirrors. supposed does 13mpg.. and capable of 370hp..came out of a bus... Last two yet to be seen.

Had a 3116/6sp originally
It's a project for sure

IPD's are 1# heavier each compared to the Cat Pistons. There are 2 style stock C15 Acert Pistons and both can be mixed in the same engine.

We've cut IPD's for other people and Cat but never tried any other brands.

I see they use Mahle components as well. Im waiting on a return call with pricing. Maybe I'll be the guinea pig

Keeping the duramax for backup duty when this one's done?

I was talking to one of the bigger dot guys in Oregon last week and he seems pretty convinced that it won't go into effect anytime soon. I know that's not something to base your companies future on but he wasn't just an average scale monkey.

Unless there's more litigation...12/18/2017 ELD mandate goes in affect... Now when do the DOT start enforcement of it... Who knows.. I haven't seen a list fines or penalties for not having ELD in a 2000 newer truck... I sure don't want to me caught with my pants down an find out the hard way..
I've got ~13 months to get this FL60 ready to go

I've had scale monkeys, on more than one occasion, try to justify grammatical errors as a common sense legitimate reasons to put me OOS...

I remember when I first started driving and I thought the best place for information would be the scale houses, 3 guys, same question and 3 completely different answers lol. This guy is one of the auditors and he seems to be well informed usually, he was saying that he thinks it'll get held up in court for quite a while.

I'm curious as to when the actual cutoff is, built in 2000 or titled as a 2000?

I'm not sure what the big stink is. You can cheat them the same as paper only the cops don't question them.

The GPS stuff scares me but we all pretty much carry a GPS that logs our every move anyway so idk

Fully integrated into the ECM and it will have to be approved by fmsca guys

"Fully integrated" means plugged into the diagnostic plug. About 1/3 of the trucks I deal with have them and it's a T harness above the 9 pin plug. If it can be manufactured it can be reverse engineered and modified. It has to get speed from some source and GPS is not legal.

Less time for me to get an old truck road ready then it would be to teach my old man how to operate any amount of technology is the only reason I ask.

I find it more amusing you act like you would have anything post 2000 on your lot. Electric pedals scare you. Lmao

We've had more issues with logs saying we were moving when we weren't than anything.

Something smart goes here
