Tuning question

When you say it will pop, do you mean slowly rev it up to say 2500 and it does it, or if you stab the throttle at idle?

I think something's up, If I'm careful with the throttle I can drive tnt-r around town on kill and be smoke free.

Get heavy on the throttle at a light with no boost, and the car to the right is wondering what happen'd to day.

aint that the truth. We definitively have to be easy on the throttle till boost rises, if not it isnt pretty.

I hate when i forget to downshift, and go to take off in 3rd:bang not pretty at all.

Sticking the modus on it today, see what things look like. I tried SW4, with stock railp., stock timing and stock tq mgt and it was awful, popped and white smoked on hard acceleration. Put it back on SW 5 tq stock, rail p stock and timing 3 and it runs much better, but still will pop on fast free rev and nailing it in 2nd pulling out.

Modis says everything is OK, all parameters look good. Is it just the nature of the beast that with big injectors if you flat foot it before boost, you flood the hell out of it? If the consensus is that is the case then fine.

Yes. it sucks and is hard to get use to.

Well, took smarty off again today, without any programmers or boxes dang thing will barely smoke with 4.3's it's great, drives great too. Makes 60 psi boost. I am convinced the pop will free revving with programming on is just too much fuel, oh well, I can live with it. Spoke with Bob and Marco is aware of the issue and hopefully something will come of this and us with big injectors will get some different tuning options. I also tried the regular revo tune and I can get it to pop but only if I try. So back with TNT/R I go and I will drive around the pop, it isn't that hard. Another thing, talked to Brad Ponci today and he was very helpful, thank you Brad, turns out I already have the snap on boroscope to look at the pistons, I had the correct boroscope all along and didn't know it, but I am not going the check them anytime soon, I and my business partner and now convinced the pop is a result of real big injectors, programming and flooding the cylinders. Which Scope do you have? I have the one with the TFT display and couldn't get it throught the injector hole.

BK5500, Brad ponic said it will stick down in it just enough to see the crown if the piston is at top.
