Twins support on 12v

Sorry Jim...................

Just realized you were talking about the flange!!! :hehe:

Kia and I had them made by a guy that will do anything you want!! And they are inexpensive also!! It's a divided T6 transistioned to mate 3 1/2" pipe and tapped.

The company is called Zero Tolerence Speed and Fab. http://www.ztspeedandfab.com/

Contact Jim at James.Grim@ztspeedandfab.com

Greg

Here is a T3 to 3" pipe I had them make also.

If you have a STORM block with the second oil drain said:
The block in my truck know has no holes or bosses on the side of the block, I have a spare block that has 2 or 3 bosses, that could be drilled, but that is for later. I would like to see some pictures of rip's 12v brackets installed

Also is it ok to put the wastgate exhaust into the hotpipe, or should it go into the downpipe ?

scot

another question, when using a external wastgate which way to plumb it into the system ? bore a hole in the manifold (3-pc), or add a spacer block between the turbo & manifold ?

scot

If you can weld cast, the manifold. If you can't (like me), put a spacer.

Does someone make a spacer for plumbing a wastegate in between the manifold and turbo Brandon?, Greg, Jim ...anyone? I have yet to see one. If so how thick are we talking? One truck getting twins in our group is a F-250/Common rail conversion and another F-250/12 valve. Its already tight to the heater box on those two tucks. It makes more sense to put one there than the other ideas of welding into the manifold or into the actual turbo housing.

Greg thanks for the ZTSpeed and Fab tip.

I made my own with two flanges and a piece of 2x3" tubing.

Seems like I need some more info, I'm GOING to do a set of twins. I have a silverbullet for a top turbo, and two choises for a bottom. 1st on is a holset ht4c (?) has a inducer/exducer of 83.8/138.9 2nd on is a garrett 171701 from a detroit 71mm inducer I know these might not be the optimal lower turbos but which one would bre better, keep in mind that the lower will be upgraded later. would like to keep the piping the same for know and later ?

Would anyone happen to know the support bracket that source automotive sells for the s400 that uses the drain tube as discussed. will this draintube/support bracket also bolt up to a k31 turbo for a twin setup. I've been told that you can interchange hot pipes between the k31 and the s400 and i'd like to find out if the support bracket will interchange also before i buy it and then it doesn't fit.

A simple phone call to Rip or Bill would answer your question ;)

I would go for the HT4C. That should be plenty of air for a 12v. The piping would change depending on if you swapped a standard-rotation turbo for a reverse-rotation turbo. When you look at the HT4C from the compressor side, does the exhaust spin the turbine counter-clockwise (aka reverse-rotation)?

If I remember I'll take some pics and post them tonight.

Now I am confused and happy . My '98 12 use the same block like your CR (extra oil drain and threaded holes aroun it)
:woohoo:

On another thread it was suggested to run the wastegate into the down pipe not the hot pipe? Has anyone done this? Seems it would make the big charger laggier but allow more nitrous maybe?
