Using the stock turbo & s400 or k-31 for twins

Are there different messurements on the s400??? Or are they all the same??

So, If you Love the stocker with s400, My 62/12 should spool nice and give me a little extra huh???? Cause I need to tow some but not that heavy...Just a two horse trailer from time to time..( with a 2000 lbs Clydesdale on it though)........

Do you have dyno #'s on your setup?? (EDIT- Never mind, just saw your Sig. :doh:) How much psi are you making with that setup??

I'm sure Shane will chime in..but I think that dyno number in his sig was from when he had his A5K on his truck..I tried to get him down here for a dyno day on his twins but his stock tranny was acting up so he never made it.....

I may have to break down and buy a Smarty....Everone is running that thing and says it's way more powerful than my BD CL......I just love the on-the-fly adjustability of my BD w/Outlook.......can go right back to stock with NO smoke for daily stuff.....

Why can't Smarty have an in Cab adj. box or something?? I'd be SOLD for sure then!!!!!!!!!

Yes the numbers in my sig are from the aurora 5k.. According to Nathan though.. The twins are an equivilent to air flow and a touch bette and make towing a dream... :Cheer: Which I can attest to that because there is very little lag.... :evil I will be dynoing at the next event which is May 19th... Hopefully I will have injectors and my damned air dog on by then!!! :nail: But I am buessing according to Nathan my numbers shouldn have changed with the twins but now I have the TNT tune along with a stage II cp3 soooo I should be over 600... Hopefully with tips I will be at 700... and that is good enough.........

But I am also goona try to go to Nathan's next bigger size up in towing twins this summer.. with something like a 64/12 over a s480 or which ever the man recommends...:Cheer:

cant wait to see the numbers shane. Im looking hard at the MPI kit now and everyone is saying 650 with some injectors is easy to do.

I wouldn't say easy... Unless you do it half-assed and blow a motor... :badidea: I mean I am not a good example of running a stock tranny on 600 hp but what the hell!!!:doh::woohoo: But with the new tnt tune and software coming out yes 650 is dooable... :Cheer:
 
I'm real close to making a decision on the twins for my current Silver62/12....

Should I go for the S400 or S480??

With s480 he says i'll loose 150-200 rpms on spool up......

Is the S480 gonna be overkill for my current turbo?? Will I be happier with the spool up of the s400 and stay below the 700 mark??
 
the latest Smarty programs are very low on smoke...

I drive around with mine on level 9 w/ the TST turned all the way down, and it's not smokey at all

That's the same set up Nathan recommended for me to keep it with in reason for towing.. the 62/12 with a s480.... :pop:

What rpm's do you start making boost on flat ground with a basic stop light roll-on???

Never mind man, I was too lazy to look back at page one until now.....I see you have the stocker over the s400.........MAN!! That must spool like Mad!!!!

I'm just not to sure about the S480 with my turbo.....But, I only want to do this once and make sure I can make 700ish someday and still spool fast and Tow......

Anybody else wanna chime in...??? What would ya'll do??

Lift pump, turbos, studs, cp3 and hope the trans last!!!!!!!!!
