What ratio are you running in your 2.6 truck?
Trans and tire hight will help.

I was running a 5spd 3.55's & 33's this year running 3rd low. Wasn't enough to be competitive this year. Planning to swap a 6spd in and run 4th low next year if I can ever sell my 5spd. If I can't sell it before next year I'll just have to put 4.88's in.

2nd high with 5 speed?

Too high with 3.55's. Tried it once this year with my 33" hankook mt's rpms came down so quick when I started off the clutch I had to dump it just about to keep on top of my S400.
Final drives
3.55 2nd Hi = 10.76
4.10 2nd Hi = 12.46
4.88 4th low 5spd =13.22
3.55 4th low 6spd = 13.36

I can swap trannys myself;) can't do gears myself. :(

Oh not to mention I wanna stay on the low side of the T case. That stunt with trying 2nd Hi this year cost me a HG. :soap

Matt Williams runs 2nd Hi with 3.55's & nv4500. His truck has a S475 charger & he has no troubles keeping it lit.

Any ways on topic. If it was me I would keep the NV4500 and change gears. The Nv4500 can take some much more abuse. I am switching to 4.10 gears this winter. I pulled off 4 lo with 3.55 a couple times this year.

Thanks Matt

Truck is still 100% streetable I'd rather put a 6 spd in and keep it that way. As long as I stay on the low side it will hold just fine. ;)

Who's the guy in the second vid. Seen it run a few weeks ago and ran real well.

Would 4.10's or 3.55's be better with an auto on a 2.6 truck? With 33" tires....

Right now I got 4.10's in the back (my D80 I found had 4.10's) and 3.55's up front... need to switch one or the other before winter...

Been running 4.10's in 2nd high, been working good except I stripped all the teeth off 2nd gear in my nv4500. I will be going to 4.88's this winter so I can run 4th low.
