What is the biggest charger i can spool on my 2wd 12valve

well since im not getting anywhere wit this thread. i figure i could spool the 64/71/14 really well as tony597fitter said (1700rpm). some ima go one step bigger and order a 66/71/14. gives me some room to grow

I also said I am running a heavily ported and polished head which cut spool time down by 150-200rpm.

I personally dont think you should go any bigger than the 64/71 just because you cant keep it lit.

When I had the Silver64, it wa a laggy SOB but pulled like a freight train after it lit.
 
you shouldn't go any larger than an HE351 w/ your trash-fuel setup and no RPM...

you will absolutely HATE a 66... I promise you this...

I should recomend a 66 as punishment for your spelling, but I'm too nice a guy
 
well i plan on installing 4k gsk before to long i believe that i already got the valve springs. its just that they say that the 64/71/14 is good for towing. and i fiqure the 66/71/14 or 12 would be a decent spool up. at wide open throttle wit the whc1 hitting 50psi it leaves a heck of a trail of smoke as long as i hold in to it. i just want something that will burn all the fuel i have and still spool around 1700=2000 rpm

news flash... full cuts will leave a trail of smoke and have high EGT's no matter what turbo you run because they're junk and inject way too much late fuel
 
Paul Rice, but it came off a 3126b (gmc mini tandem), the inducer on the comp measures 62, never measured the exhaust side, but what did most of those engines run? Not to get off subject.
 
You don't seem to wanna listen to Jim and Forrest, but you should listen. They know how to tune a 12v. That's something you'd do well to learn a little about.

If you'd ditch the full cuts, and ungut your AFC you'd be able to spool your turbo a lot better.

And you might try spelling words correctly. I know some people think that all this stupid gamer and text speak and abbreviations are cool, but they aren't. They just make you look stupid.

I have a turbo from a kal prefix but it has a different style ex housing. a B model should have the desireable housing

I would straight up ask, " what all should i do to my motor/pump to run a 66"
if that is the turbo you want or have to have.

I'd be more than willing to help! Forrest is correct on the late fuel, there is a time and place for everything but not everything on every pump and every situation.

There is a ton of info on AFC's from multiple people like Forrest, Smokem and myself.

Buy a set of $90 4k Governor Springs and pick up a 62/71/14...........Trust me you dont want the biggest thing on the market, your truck will be faster on the street with that 62 then it would a 66. And ditch the full cuts and get some 191's or 181's and tune the pump better.

It will take a 71mm charger, or a heck of a mean 66mm charger to clear the smoke decent with laser cuts, and decent injectors on a 12mm pump that is set up right(4k, etc...). So if you want to clear the smoke good, you are going to need smaller DV's.

Put in a 4k, some .022's or 191's(or 181's if you want it real clean), and throw a 62/68/14 on that thing.

FWIW, your not gonna clean up .022's if your pump is maxed! At least my 66mm wouldn't.
 
I still want to know how you get 25mpg city, with 150hp sticks, full cuts, no plate, no afc, and a stock turbo.:blahblah1:

Just get the 66 if thats what you want. But at least get the 4k springs, and bump the timing up a few more degrees.
 
LOL I'd bet 20 is easily do-able. I get 17 with the set up in the vid.
