What was up with the squealing turbo's at Scheid's?

There where a coupld of 2.8 trucks that litterally HURT the ears goin down the track... Almost sounded like a belt squeal...
 
it almost sounded like the turbo wheels were rubbing the housing... sounded just like some turbos off of a couple dumbtrucks that the turbos were going out on and were rubbing the housing....
 
I thought the same thing, WTH was that? But it seemed like the trucks that squealed like that ran good!

Are all created equal? I would think some may be capable of doing it, whether they are supposed to or not. Could be dead wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.
 
I wouldn't think it would cause a squealing noise. The ony time I heard something like that, it turned out to be the exh wheel rubbing the housing (someone's exh housing bolts were all backed out).
 
I dunno... been to a LOT of tractor pulls, but this year SDX was my first big truck pull... I've never heard a squealing sound like that out of a truck or tractor before...
 
there are a lot of tractor guys up here making the same sound. I havent figured it out yet, but I dont think its a bad/broke type of thing

You sure it wasn't just some guy screwing a sheep in the pits?
 
maybe they are running a procharger?? They make a heck of a noise
