Whats the deal with valve springs

Did you have to modify anything or just compress, remove, install, and let her turn some R's?

from the specs i found, the sizes look similar. i need to find installed height of the stock springs to compare, but in theyre normal application, they are only 74lbs

Installed height is 1.38 on 24v valves which put these right at 110lbs.

.235 intake .297 exhaust, that sound right?

looks like that leaves tons of room for the springs too with a bind height of .900

sweet deal, I will be ordering a set of these before spring.

Yes thats the stock cam lift but when you take into account the rocker ratio it comes out to .324 intake and .397 exhaust. Still about .065" away from coil bind.

thanks for catching that retard moment of mine. Looks like im going to give these a go.

stock springs are what 60lb at installed height?

cool, well once the lay off situation gets straightened out, I will throw a set of these in and let everyone know my results

and the 12v guys don't have any such tricks?

60lbs valve springs are what, $100 maybe $120 from cummins for a set of 12? If you can't swing that for a tried and true setup I don't think should be trying to push the engine to where you need the springs. $.02

LOL. I was thinking 110Lbers for the 4k group, but, if the 60's are holding at 4k, then let 'er rip.

They are a single spring. The only thing I don't like about them is the coil bind. They work great for the stock cam and should for any drop in cam as far as lift goes but, when I decide to go to a cam that needs cut pistons depending on the lift it has, I might run into coil bind.
