Which headlights?

That is what I'm gonna wind up with too Dave.
 
I've always heard those black housing lights suck at night.
Makes sense...the light uses the chrome inside the housing to form the beam pattern...take away chrome...you take away the pattern too.
 
headlights

i purchased the one piece design and didn't like the fitment. i nor the bodyman couldn't get it adjusted to fit and look like the oem two piece fits.

just my $.02 maybe it was just my truck. but lmc is awesome to deal with they let me send them back and get the sport look 2 piece and refunded the shipping.
 
I bought the projector style. I had to tear the projector knock off apart and grind down on the inside so that I could get the headlights to even fit right. Either the gap was HUGE and your lights were facing close to where they should. Or they looked good and pointed at the ground. Even after the grinding they aren't quite where they should be, and they still SUCK for light. Highbeams work awesome though. So I got some true HID projectors and will have to modify the headlight myself :bang
I also had the sport headlights after my stockers and they were ok.. But the two piece just wasn't near as clean looking as the one piece.


So moral of my story, yea, go with the first ones you put a link to :Cheer: Even though I will like the way mine look and work once I'm done, it's a bit more work then most are willing to do for some headlights.

Yeah, I was actually thinking about that when I was posting, but they look so good! I'm not going to buy anything until I get some more input. I found me some tail lights though...:D

sidetrack.. which ones did you go with? I had a little accident this weekend while backing up a trailer and g/f isn't that great of a spotter. So I've got these things on order.

I haven't ordered them yet. I guess it going to depend on if I get the black headlights or the chrome. If I get black I'm going to get the "smoked" tail lights, but if I get the chrome then I'm going with the red ones.

I think I'm just going to get the red ones. I just had my roll pan painted and I removed the black molding off the tailgate. So know I want to have that black trim around the taillights painted red to match the truck. Ill up load a pic of my new roll pan when I figure out how to delete some pictures in my gallery.

Also where did you find those tail lights at? I like!
 
Ebay of course! ("Dodge Ram LED tailights") I usually don't like to buy off ebay. But like my headlights, at the time, they were the absolute only place that I could even find them. Plus when the headlights finally came out other places, they were twice the price. I do agree with the red on red though. My truck is silver/grey so it's on the edge of either or. I really like the red, but they have a bulge in the lens that I have never been too hot for. This new different style only comes in chrome or black, but without the bulge. Only reason I didn't get the chrome was because of the red reflectors at the bottom. But with your truck being red, it'd work just fine.
 
I'm gonna get the black one piece non halo headlights for my b-day. If I need more light I've got twin 6" 150w PIAA's on the front bumper. I'm still debating on smoked or clear tail lights.

Lucky Jeff, my buddy has those tail lights and they look great. You'll be really happy with them.
 
hell I just looked at your link, that's a different style all together then the other two I know about.. I'm not sure that those have the bulge. those are nice, although a bit more expensive. Mine were 150, and they were on the more expensive end compared to the others.

And BgBlDodge, good! Hopefully they will flow with the color of my truck well.. Your dark blue is a tough one! I'm not sure which one I'd go with either
 
yea I really don't trust ebay. But for my lights I haven't had any problems.. I just look for someone with a good track record and buy from there. We'll see if my black tailights I ordered actually get to me this week.

BgBlDodge, ahhh, I don't think I've seen pics of your truck with the ranch hands.. Yea I'd have to agree about the darker ones then.
