Which headlights?

Blacked out anything=dumb, in my opinion. I hate the look of it, but then I hate the euro look. I love those single piece headlights(first link) and am going to order some when I paint, along with the LED taillights from PDP and the clear third brake light from LMC. I also need to get some new fog lights due to the yellowing of mine.

To each his own.

Dave, don't get the projector style unless you're willing to work on them a bit to get them even decent for visibility.

Haloman, I've just never been much for the line of fire. LED's are always a different size, different color then the other lights on the vehicle, bulbs always go out way too fast. That one solid line across the entire back just looks completely out of place in comparison to the other lights also. It's just personal preference. I'm picky about everything "Flowing" well on my truck. These black tailights I just ordered are REALLY pushin it for me. But we'll see.

Understandable. You would almost have to see it person but I think all my rear lights have the same color hue and I have add this same setup for over 6 months now. The stock bulbs I had would always burst on me(from vibration), so the LEDs solved that problem for me.

yea the LED's are definitely the way to go. The bulbs you got are a different style then most buy that just point straight back and are about an inch across. Those I can't stand. I made my own after waiting and waiting for someone to come out with LED's for the second gen. They came out right away for the 3rd gen and left us 2nd gen guys in the weeds. I cut out the back of my stockers and put 4" round trailer lights in there. Then a few months later they finally came out with some. :bang.

Yea I bought "Tower LEDs" they fit in the housing snugly and have leds all over them. User "Sea :/> Drive" helped me out alot on my led purchase.

I have those on my front turn markers/turn signals. They are white for running lights and then blink amber for turn (out of the same bulbs). Look really cool, but didn't last at all. Now all off the white ones on the edge of the tower don't even light up. For a while they were just flickering. I am going to get the amber only ones next time and hope they last longer.

Where did you get those from? They sound cool. Too bad they don't last. I still have regular bulbs up front. Still undecided on making the front end a little more uniform.

I wish I could remember. I checked a couple of the sites I have bought LED's from but they weren't the one. I'll have to ask a friend of mine who bought the same ones.

Ive got them, they are cheap but better looking than stock. Fitment is great on one and the other is off a bit, plus I had to cut some sheet metal since the way the light twists in turned out to be right where it shouldnt be! I havent drivent it at night yet.

nevermind I found it.. autolumination.com

Jeff,

Do you know the part number for what you got? I am tempted to get them because I have the super white cab lights with white bulbs and white marker lights up front would be sweet I think.

Edit I found them on the website. That site is so hard to navigate. I am very tempted to buy them. How long did your last? and did you get the ones that are 27 led? or the 30 LED SMT ones?

I must have bought the 20 LED ones because when they first came out, they only had one option. They lasted a few months and then one started to go bad. They said they would replace it for free but I just never got around to it. It also said not to start the rig while the lights are on, and I always forgot that as well. So it could have just been all my fault that they took a dump.

Ian have you drove at night with those yet? I'm needing to order lights soon...my trucks getting repainted and I want to do all new lights. My only problem is HATE clear cab lights, and I think crystal head lights would look outta place withe smoked cab/tail lights:badidea:

Mark
I drove it home one time at night and they were about the same brightness as the stock headlights. but I havent adjusted them either so they kinda point off into the ditch at the moment:bang

I popped another headgasket after that week of having it running so the truck is in the same spot as the photo above:bang
