4.10 gears 6 33" sts tires
I think that the 4.10 is the factor here. I know of another dually that is doing similar.

I pull in 4th, the tires I use are 305-65-17,and the sled guy is saying that I am taking the sled about 22mph down the track. That is what the truck dose emty. I was also thinking of going to 5th. Emty the truck will go 28mph.
That's a tripple to, not a dual. This is my second 3850 and it is now shot after about 6 or 7 pulls. I'm going to a tripple because I don't think a dual will ever hold up running in 5th.
I run 5th gear everytime now and dont hang weight so i can get the wheel speed. All depends on your setup.
Here is a couple vids on how I run 5th gear and keep a clutch in it...

The one at Scheids I was on it more then usual cause I was nervous and didnt want to snuff it in front of that many people.
That southy bend 3600 won't last long at all. Looks like you have some bigger tires and wheels on your truck if thats your truck in the picture and you might be better off trying 2nd high then jumping to 5th low?
Well tnt-r made 58psi on level 9
Revo on 8 made 74psi with tst timin added
2nd high then jump to 5th low? I've only seen a few people even grab a gear while pulling, much less grab a gear, and switch t-case ranges.. Kinda throws your south bend won't last long comment for a corkscrew...
