Who's running a HTT Pro Street 66

For $200 it would be worth it. I was thinking for along while of upgrading my 64 to a 66, even had it at HTT for 3 extra days while they where fixing the puck. I do beleive that having the right supporting mod's will help her spool great.

i hated my 66/71/14 with a manual trans. surged like a mother. it was good with the stock stall auto though.

as far as the 13 and 14cm housings. the 13 is a 13.4cm and the 14 is a 13.6cm

This is a great charger for competition use. You will make some comprimises with it on the street.

I have a 66/71/16 (SS Housing).

The spool up time is a little longer than the 62/71/14 it replaced, but the tradeoff was another 15-20 psi of boost pressure at the top end.

When chugging along, boost is low, so temps are higher.

I've got an F1 Helix 2 cam, 03 CR motor, and a 6 speed manual.

It does surge and bark quite a bit though....

goddam....this is an EPIC FAIL thread!

I'm just waiting for Marty to come back and chime in again. I heard some pretty crazy, messed up stuff. But I won't spoil the surprise.

Well look at it this way, if us 2nd gen guys enjoy the way they run then you CR guys shouldn't have any problems at all running them. Fwiw, mine doesn't surge.

Mine doesn't surge unless I hit overdrive to soon going around town. When I still had my 5-speed in it never surged at all.

:what:

Well I didnt get much feed back from CR guys thats all...

Well the only help I can give you is all the things guys told me when I asked them about going to a 66. It's going to be laggy DD but once it lights hold on. Now look at it in this way. If it's your DD how much fun is that going to be. Launch and stop. If this is dedicated for dyno/racing then go for it. I stayed away from it after talking to the guys at HTT/ E.D/ Browns and others. Now what I mean buy supporting mods to help are cam, head work, and ported manifold. But for $200 you can't beat that. Don't know what you have for fuel but for around $400 you can have HTT or E.D match it better for your use.
