I went out to the RKL dyno event in Springville, UT on Saturday and took top honors for fuel only with 880hp using Wide Open Performance's triple turbo setup! This was a great event with ALOT of good running trucks, including three competitors from the 2009 and 2010 Diesel Power Challenge. I barely (by 2hp) beat Newly Tolf in his '04 Duramax on fuel. We'll need to do a re-match, maybe at Industrial Injection's upcoming dyno event in August!

I was COMPLETELY out of fuel with my 200hp injectors, take a look at the below pic! Looks like I'll be placing a call to Lenny at DDP for some bigger nozzles!!! :rockwoot: If anyone happens to have a video of my dyno run, could you post up in this thread? Thanks!

Jared

Are you beta testing the ssr too?

Ya, but I haven't had much time to get it dialed in. I reserved an hour on the dyno, but that time goes fast when it take 15 minutes to try a new setting and wait for it to upload. So this RKL event was just my fifth dyno run with the SSR, and it looks like my settings are headed in the right direction. I think there's still quite a bit left in it, once I get the programming figured out. I'm extremely jealous of you Duramax guys!

Jealous of Dmax guys????!!!!!!

Heck, WE are ALL jealous of the Triple's!!!!!!!!!!!

I havn't read to much up on the triples but id think for sure with a bit more injector and more knowledge of the ssr you'll hit close to 1k.

Awesome, congrats Jared! Trucks an animal, thats for sure.

One day, mine will be there. One day...

NICE! What elevation are we talking about? See mountains in the background........

How's this set compared to the 64/480?.....I think that's what you were running before?

Nice run Jared, I can't wait to see those things in person. When are you headed to the track?

Elevation is about 4400-ft here. The triples spool way better and cleaned up all of the smoke that the 64/480 combo couldn't. Truck is super streetable now.

With the 64/71/13SS over S480 setup, I did 770hp at last year's RKL dyno event, so I picked up about 100 peak hp with the new triple turbo setup. I'm still dialing in the new software, so expect to see that number go up as I get more time on the dyno. Although, the extra peak horsepower is nice, I think the most impressive thing about the triples is how much earlier in the RPM range that the power comes in, compared to the 64/480.

July 9th is the street legal series and midnight drags, and if I don't make it that night, I'll definitely be at the test-n-tune on July 14th (goes from 5pm til it gets dark).

very nice numbers, can you even soot on the street with these?

Oh ya, these are 200hp injectors, and I live at about 4500ft elevation, so if I get under the chargers it'll smoke, but that goes away once the chargers are lit, which happens pretty quick. It has a noticeable haze at idle but is totally gone at wide open throttle. A call was made to Lenny this afternoon!!

That's awesome! Sounds like those triple kits are really doin' some work. :rockwoot:

Thats awesome!

Trust me Swole, if you could tune your truck with EFI live, you would poop yourself with how big of a difference it is. I see it every day with the Duramax crowd and it blows my mind what you can do with that software. When it is available for Cummins, then it'll really be on!

Probably some 300ish hp nozzles. I'll let Zane and Lenny come up with something. Knowing Zane, they'll be big enough so that I'll have to add a nitrous setup to clean up the fuel this time! :rockwoot:

YEAH!!! Now we're talking *nx*
