WOP triple turbo setup does 880hp on fuel only at RKL dyno event

Probably some 300ish hp nozzles. I'll let Zane and Lenny come up with something. Knowing Zane, they'll be big enough so that I'll have to add a nitrous setup to clean up the fuel this time! :rockwoot:

Thats awesome man. Cant wait to see how the truck turns out, especially after you get it tuned and some runs down the track.

With the 64/71/13SS over S480 setup, I did 770hp at last year's RKL dyno event, so I picked up about 100 peak hp with the new triple turbo setup. I'm still dialing in the new software, so expect to see that number go up as I get more time on the dyno. Although, the extra peak horsepower is nice, I think the most impressive thing about the triples is how much earlier in the RPM range that the power comes in, compared to the 64/480.

What chargers make up the triples?

I don't plan on making too many more passes down the track with this motor in this truck. I'm confident that my next pass down the track will be quicker than 11.49 seconds, which is going to require a roll bar. I ran an 11.9 second 1/4 mile two weeks ago, with a soft 1.9 second 60ft, a very conservative tune, and I forgot to turn off the speed limiter, so by 3/4 track I was defueling. I picked up an '05 2wd regular cab long bed with 400,000 miles that I plan on swapping the built motor into. Only problem is both trucks are running great, so it's hard for me to justify swapping motors just yet. That, and the fact that it's going to cost ALOT of money to get the 2wd road worthy with the new powerplant.

A few people have asked for a video to hear how the triples sound. Here's a dyno vid from the day we got the triples up and running. The first link is a video of the engine bay and the second is one of the exhaust.

And someone else said they wanted to see the dyno sheet...

11.89 with triple turbos, i'd be proud of that. A stock turbo duramax will run mid to low 12's on a stock turbo with no spray. Just a good EFI tune tranny and lift pump.

I've already said it once in this thread...I'm jealous of you Duramax guys! My truck weighs 7850 pounds and the track I go to is at 4,500ft elevation, so actually, I am proud of breaking into the 11's with my daily driver. And I've only made one run down the track with the triples. This truck is a behemoth, and that's why I bought the 2wd regular cab, so I could swap motors, and have a dedicated race vehicle.

Ok....Lets give this guy another chance to explain...

Yes, this sounded a little on the conceded side. But maybe he didn't mean it quite like it sounded..

BUT if he did, well then it's open season...!! :hehe:

Bragging about having EFI live and a lighter wait truck with Two more cylinders and .8 more Liters of displacement, is like braggin about being Tall....You did Nothing really to deserve the accolades except make a choice to purchase that brand of truck!!

SO having said all that....." I bet my Daddy can Beat up your Daddy"!!!!!!

:hehe::hehe::hehe:

I don't think any mod has made a 3rd gen look more sexy to me then this triple turbo setup..

Hey' i'm just stating facts! If you don't like it so be it. It is a nice setup though. :poke:

This is competitiondiesel.. Believe it or not, people didn't just learn about modding diesels (cummins or dmax) just yesterday.

I never said anybody started to mod diesels just yesterday. I was thinking it should make over 1k hp easily with mods like that and that the time seemed kind of slow. Do some research off of this site and you will see that there are alot of d-maxs with stock turbos and single stock CP3's running in the 12's. Just seems like alot of parts and money for a 11.89. :pop:

This truck wasn't set up for drag racing. You seem to be missing the point here. He had a certain need, and it fits the bill perfectly for what he was after. There are plenty of single turbo cummins trucks running much faster. That was NOT the goal.
