I am in the same dilema with insurance. I just painted my 95 and put sport bumpers on it when I shortened it. It looks almost as nice as my 02 but it has 270k on it. Currently has liability but I put that on it when it was just a plain, stock dually.
 
Not sure what's done to all your trucks, but as a point of interest: I bought stated value on my truck to cover the investment. Stated it at 25k for my 96. $150 a year more than what I had before.

I may have to do a bit of fighting if its totalled, but it should pay me out 25k, based on what I read in the policy. Not all states have it, though.

what do you have to show to prove its worth that amount...i have most of my reciepts but alot of my parts i paid for using paypal
 
Well in 2 years all my trucks will be on historic tags lol
