world finals results

Ken, are you trying to eliminate your competition?:poke: Our block is filled and so is Smitty's and TS's. The :rules: don't say anything about it and why does it even matter? It is really no advantage, it is more of a pain in the ass if you want the truth. So pull your truck to the line if it bothers you so much. You will only need a 13k RTV, Mule, Gator etc... the smaller stuff won't pull our heavy truck any way.

Next I'll bet your gonna b!tch about us using either to start the trucks!

Hell I say no laptops, down loaders or electronic tuning between rounds!:stab:

I'd go for that. We don't need to tune between rounds, We have a filled block too, just not all the way. Hell Banks and Dirty Max and even Chad Riley's altered drive theirs, why can't the prostreet guys? As far as ether, seems like a puss way to have to start your truck but if that what it takes to make one of those dinosaurs come out of extinction, then OK.

To each thier own I quess, I drove mine right up on the Interstate a good 20 mile round trip to Dallas Raceway dragstrip, race it a few times one evening and then drove it home, Lol. I seem to remember having to lend a can of my ether to a bad ass Duramax Sunday morning to fire that machine, hell I even did the honors. Told them it sounded a bit like a Cummins there just for a second.... while the rods were knockin'

Ken, how many bottles of Gibsons are left?

If the rules say, no ether, then there may be a no Gibsons rule. Where will it all end...lol

One more think I thing should be addressed in Prostreet is not allow the trucks to be pulled to the starting line or back to the pits unless it is broken. I think you should have to drive it to the line and back to the pits. Leave the towing to the Prostock and Top Diesel guys if they want to.

Wow! I like how you wait until you get all the way back to the West coast and post this like your serious about it, but while your standing there talking to Dale about it you smile and laugh and tease. Your just mad that when Seth drove it to 7-11 on Saturday he didn't get you a Big Gulp! You know everybody I talk to about you says "don't worry about Ken, he is just trying to stir the pot and get people riled up". Well when I do that I am an asshole. I don't see how your age makes it any different for you.

Any word from ESPN on if they liked it enough to cover next year??

Doubtful.

Man it seems like everyone had issues leaving, our tow truck froied the motor 900 miles from home and thank god rudys was about an hour behind us and had another truck to tow us to his shop where we were able to fix my truck and get home twp days later

Sorry to hear that Mike glad you guys made it home safe. Nice to meet ya finally. Thanks for the pictures of the truck.

Everybody knows Ken is senile and on the the verge of pooping his pants again.LOL

I don't see anything ass hole about it. I don't think in a class called STREET anything that you should tow the damn truck, period unless it broken. Will my opinion change it, no. Hell there aren't enough so called prostreet trucks coming to the events now. That's one of the main reasons we decided to change the battery and fuel tank so we could run both.

As far as no posting till I got home. Little tough to do on my phone when I'm driving. What would you want me to say to Dale, sure I joked with him and said real trucks don't have to be towed. He's a great guy and I wouldn't want to piss him off in the heat of the race. Doesn't mean I don't really like him, I just don't like the rule. As far as stirring the pot, sure I do a bit of that. But I have to take a number and stand in line to do it on this forum.

I'm voicing my opinion and like an asshole everyone has one. That's mine. Being called one doesn't bother me anymore, that is what age will do for you.

At most events both the DirtyMax and Banks trucks need "support vehicles" to get the whole dang crew up to the starting line though, even if the trucks don't need towing! DirtyMax needs ether to start easily on a cold morning (reduced compression and no glow plugs). With enough battery you can still start it without, but there will be a large cloud of white smoke!

Weird how many tow rig problems were encountered this race, is it just that it's the end of the season and too many miles have been put down already?

Ken - aren't you running 16" tires on your trailer? What brand are they?

They are several now, have 4 from Les Schwab and two others. I think they are 15" and 10ply. Rob just had all the bearings brakes changed. We were probably 18K plus the tow truck going down the road.

You say you wouldn't want to do anything in the heat of the race? Didn't you walk up to the truck while it was being started and say all that "real trucks are driven" stuff? I know for a fact that Dale or Seth wouln't come up to you while you were putting your super tune in Rob's truck and "stir the pot". While we are talking about stirring the pot, that is fine and I enjoy it as much as anyone maybe more, but anytime you come close to lining up with a dinosaur your start whining about how it gets to the line. The way I see it you should be worrying about how it gets to the 60', 330', 660' and the 1320' line.

I'm voicing my opinion and like an asshole everyone has one. That's mine. Being called one doesn't bother me anymore, that is what age will do for you.
Your entitled to your opinion as am I. I think it's an asshole move on your part.

You probably need to get some 16's on that thing! I know the smaller DirtyMax trailer has 15's, and it was going through tires until Brad put some new (and I think heavier rated) tires on it. That trailer runs a little over 11k between the 3 trailer axles. I've always been a fan of running more trailer tire than needed (i.e., not running anywhere near the rated capacity), they seem to last a lot longer that way. I run similar axle loads on my trailer, but my tires are rated for 3042 lbs each (245/75R-16 Load Range E tires - some are take-offs from factory Duramax trucks). Now if I can just quit getting flats on the race truck!!!

What ever happened to run what you brug, loser goes home and licks his/her sores. I know that's what I did. LOL.

Can't go out and have a good time and look forward to the next event. Some people just need to b|tch and complain. Rob I'll race ya in superstreet next year, hopefully I'll be a bit more competitive for ya. Trucks going on a diet hehe

I think Pro-Mods should drive to the line..... So Should Nitro classes.

We usually never have a problem driving to the line, it's coming back that can be a real b!tch. LOL It's funny how many people will get in a thread and *****, but the numbers of competitors at the tracks don't seem to go up. Hopefully this will change next year.

And Travis, would you like to share with us what you know about the ESPN crew? I never saw them around while we were there. Maybe if the other 380 competitors that were invited were able to make the race, it may have helped that scenario. IDK.

I didn't see one either. I agree about the 380 other people showing up, but times are tough and people gotta keep steaks in the fridge. But if you were ESPN and came and filmed that race would you come back? That's not a jab against the NHRDA either. They did the best they could I thought with the weather and other circumstances.

It's not keeping in the spirit of what I and many others who will not speak up because they might offend anyone believe should be allowed in diesel truck drag racing at this level anyway. But I don't like 1/8 mile racing either, and most of these trucks prefer it.

We'll you got me there, Any tuning done to Max'd Out is done long before it hits the line. As I said I don't care if they use ether to start the truck, with compression as low as they are running doubt it would start on it's own anyway. Have no idea about your comment on anytime we come close to lining up with a dinosaur I start whining. Hell we never have line up against one yet that I can remember at least one that was competitive. Would have loved to run Smitty but it wasn't in the cards.

As I said earlier Travis that's fine, but it doesn't change my opinion on towing a street truck to the line or back from the turnoff if it isn't broken. I don't like it and will continue to state it. If you tow your to the line I'll probably tell you the same thing.

While ESPN would have been great, did anyone see any photogs from the major diesel magazines?

Michael the only guy I saw taking pictures what the fellow doing it for NHRDA.
