Numidia

I think they need to split the dates for Virginia and Numidia, close enough together that it lowered turnout.. .

Yea I wish they would split the dates .

I was going to mention the simultaneous events, and since it's brought up -

I was sorry when I saw the other event scheduled for the same day in the same area.
We are a niche market in motorsports in general, I think two competing national sanctioning bodies having simultaneous events in the same region is harmful for the sport as a whole.

x2 only hurting the sport

This was the third year for NADM Keystone/A&A at Numidia. The show has grown every year, including this one. And it will be back on the same date next year.

I agree with all of you, about the scheduling, but I think the above posts should be in Randys section, as he was the one doing the scheduling on top of an existing event.

I hope it worked out for him, it did not affect us, aside from some feeble spam posts on this board and Facebook, trying to bash our event.

They sure took their sweet time making the track, got started late. .

We couldn't get water at 8:00 am when we needed it. I took an extra hour to make sure we had enough water in the track, so it wasn't a dust bowl like last year.
We had a mister on the scraper this year, which made a huge difference in maintaining moisture, and it worked well.No thumbs up on that, eh? LOL

Anyone that been to NADM pulls knows starting late is a dirty word, but we wanted the track as right as we could reasonably get, and that hour was worth it.

Results will be up later.

ah so not being able to get water was the devil... knew it had to be something simple.

Yep, its amazing how everything is set up and going smoothly..then one thing goes wrong, and upsets the apple cart. Sometimes an event day is like playing whack a mole!:hehe:

Sorry for holding up the drag racing early in the day for at least 1/2 hour. As mentioned earlier I broke on my first pass... Steering linkage went SNAP. When i let out off the accelerator once i hit the traps, and found I didn't have ANY steering at 113mph. Luckily I got it stopped safely without hitting the walls. Getting off the track, and loaded into our trailer was a challenge.
For once, I was a spectator at an event. haha Congrats to everyone who won!!

all i can say is that was a hell of a save and ur were real lucky

I go to shied ts and they all put very good shows on and any of pa's local sucky brush pulls have a he$$ of a better track crew than gene :kick:could ever do and also even brush pulls have fire extinguishers like everywhere :bs:Yes Drivers r supposed to have a small 2lbs one but that is to be used b4 :kick:gene gets there with the big one. Also local brush pulls don't even use top soil for a tempery track also take your fisher price packer home and use it for your boys to practice pulling there pedal tracters. U have a good crowd and a good amount of trucks but the track just plain sucks and get rid of that hill:nail:

very well said i agree with everything u mentioned other then i can live with the hill we all have to pull up the same hill :lolly:, and im sure the funds arent their to do that or even to put in a better track, but something can be done about the track prep and the track work during the pull for sure

LOL! Everyones a Monday morning quarterback, and dirt experts. You two clowns dont know the half of it.

The man on the scraper is second to none in the country, period.

We went there, and it was grass on shale. (shale is rock)We had a budget large enough to take most of the hill out, and haul in 35 loads of clay, yes, it is clay, not topsoil.

Real pullers learn to adjust to different and changing track conditions.

We would like to make more improvements, but at the same time keep the purse up. There is a budget to work within.

I would suggest if you think its that terrible, donate some time and funds to help improve it, instead of whining.

Noone mentioned the perfect sled settings by Crouse Sled Rental? Of course not, can't mention anything about how good the event was, or is it you can't stand we had another great event?:thankyou2:

Can we get the final results now since you couldnt even hear the guy on the loud speaker

I thought the sled was set up great,.... i think the pay out sucked but hey at least it was a pull

what about the fisher price packer and gene :kick: u r so big on safety u order people to get out of the danger zone, but u dont have any fire extiguishers there, now that is completely dangerous, nobody can argue any dif way, those things r cheap but they r more bother to have at the track, u cannot lower yourself to bring some 20lb. fire extiguishers there, is that the problem?

yes it was a good event sled was great, crouse is known for his excellant setup with the sled so i did not mention it, good turnout in trucks but the track could be helped and also be more safe

u must not of been there when that truck caught on fire and they brought the fire truck out like 20 min later and practically emptied a tanker on the truck before the fire was out, a fire extiguisher would have put it out just fine

Last roller to be found in the country under $1000. It did fine, just slow.

Sounds like you are volunteering to find one next year?

Crouse is known for their set up so you didnt mention it, lol!!
Kind of a negative sort of guy, eh??

Jmar, are you the one who stuck a lawn chair at the end of the track that got mouthy when I tossed you out??????????

I put the fire out and used less then 25 gallons of water. Please know what your talking about. Your bish is valid but know your facts before you whine.

Also, if the truck took 20 minutes, it would have been a charred frame. It was less then 2 minutes for the truck to get on the track. I took pictures before I grabbed a line and put it out, So I have timestamps to prove it.

i was exaggerating slightly but it took a lot of water, but it probably took 25 gallons to fill the hose up, u did an exellant job of putting out the fire with a fire hose but i say it was unnessary and took a lot of time
