Wade Moody's S-10 sets new NADM World Record

So lemme try to understand some of your complaints on this -

I keep seeing people posting about "non-equivalent" track conditions and weather.

How can this even be a point of contention? Banks set their record at Track A with prep B and weather C.

4 years later, no matter how you slice it, it's gonna be Track B with Prep C and weather D. So it should automatically be thrown out because they didn't go head to head? That's idiotic.


The ONLY thing that I can understand anyone complaining about is the lack of a crowd and other racers present, i.e., the break from "tradition".

Wasn't Banks' record set at an NHRDA sanctioned event though ?

Doesn't matter that Banks or Darren or Wade or whoever wasn't side by side. IHRA and NHRA both have their own records for cars that are the same....both orgs can have their own records...that's fine with everyone involved.
But set the records at actual events so others can run with them for those records.

I asked a valid question in my last post....answer that before we go off on another tangent. Is NADM gonna provide a rep for anyone attempting a "world record" outside of a sanctioned event when requested ?

If not....well.....there ya go...

Also waiting to hear of any other drag racing org with practices for records like NADM has ?

There is not a problem reviewing the procedure, as are all the rules, each year. Especially since it has become a hot issue.
 
I'd be there too...but you azzholes scheduled a race over my daughter's birthday party.
Make sure you consult with me next year so this egregious infraction doesn't happen again. :D

So I was looking at the list of world records on the site and the only Unlimited diesel record showing is a 8th mile set by Team Green?

Unfortunately do to work schedule being as I am offshore until the 19th I can not attend the 15th event. Given the advance notice and schedule how about I make a run for the 1/4 mile record on the 21st at Royal Purple raceway? I am sure this is suitable for you guys given the current record attempt criteria? You will already be in Texas 6 days prior...

For the record Im am being serious If this is the criteria I would like to go ahead and schedule this. :Cheer:

Seeing as I do not see a record recorded it should be fairly easy to break. Then I can be king for a day. Since I don't see anyone breaking it at the Texas event...
 
you said no one will be breaking a record at texas. just cuz max wont be there wont mean other fast trucks wont be

Jake no one will break your quarter mile record at Texas it is 1/8th mile. I Think you are on to something...... I would like to schedule for the following weekend after Jake's run At royal purple for unlmited class...... wish I could do it the same weekend as jake but can't. Let's fill up the record books and keep this going!
