Matt,
I just remembered I owe you a picture of my degas bottle I don't know if you got that figured out yet but here is the bottle I used. I just made a bracket to mount this on the passenger side by the fan shroud as high as I could get it. It is mounted horizontal so the filler is up. then I just ran the overflow from the radiator to it and a 3/4" IIRC hose down to my lower radiator connection, I think I T-ed it into my heater return hose. it is a Howe racing overflow tank from Summit racing it was less than $70.00 but it will fit.

Thanks! and yeah it does, looks a whole lot cleaner, and I like the way that looks, I dont know if I want to have anything saying cummins on the outside of the truck though.

I hadnt made a final decision on a tank yet, so thank you for all that info! Im gonna order one of those right now.

More progress: Spent all day today making all my piping. IC pipes and downpipe are all tacked up. Now Im not a fabricator by any means so its not perfect. These took a lot longer to make than I expected. Now Im just gonna have a friend weld them up for me as I really dont have much experience with a MIG. Here are some pictures of them all mocked up though. The passenger side IC pipe was a pain since I had to wrap it up in a U shape to run the intake under it.

For the downpipe I made it a 2 piece and it also clears the stock dodge trans dipstick as well. I will be able to pull the top piece off and out of the truck from under the hood so itll be easy to get out of there if need be. I also decided to paint match my mirror caps as well today.

Nice clean swap.

Looking good Matt.

Hey what are you going to use for a cooling fan? You planning on putting some pushers on the front?

where do i buy fuel lines to do a p pump conversion?

These I got used but like above scheids sells them, so does haisleys and a couple other places

Thanks! Im planning to use the stock cummins fan, with the way my mounts sit it will clear with about an inch of space between the fan and radiator

Awesome build man. I pretty much have all my parts gathered up now, just a matter of swapping it in. So did you end up using the earlier pre-'98 PCM with that 47RE from a 24v?
And how did ya get the Ford shifter cable to work with the linkage on the dodge trans? Any pics of that?

Thanks man! Yeah I ended up switching to a 97 PCM. Got a 97 wiring harness too so I can run it to the TPS, got a 12v harmonic balancer so I can run the 12v Engine speed sensor off it for crank signal, run coolant temp to it, and all the other inputs for the trans. Im also running the grid heater and fuel shutoff solenoid off the dodge PCM as well. Hopefully it will all work well, I dont see why it shouldnt. Just need to splice into a couple of the ford wires as well.

I havent finished building the mount for the linkage yet. But I have my plan all in place for it, Im gonna build it in the next day or two so Ill get some picture of it.

Ok quick question thats kinda bothering me. I cant get the truck to crank over when I turn over the ignition. Im positive I screwed something up.

What I did that I thought would work is I cut the Black wire on connector 1 of the PCM which runs from the control side of the starter relay to the PCM which then runs to the park/neutral switch. Now I figured the p/n when its in either of those positions will just ground out and close the circuit so it will crank. So thats why I grounded the black wire. But nothing at all happened.

So I guess what Im wondering is what did you guys do to make this work? I thought about just running right off the ignition wire and running a relay under the hood this way instead.

Thoughts? Just trying to decide the best way to go

Whats your email address? I can email you some useful info on the wiring.

What are you doing with the AC lines? Im not sure how I am going to connect mine...
The high pressure lines are two different sizes....

Cant seem to find any useful direct info in a search..

That would awesome man, my email address is mpopiel0389@gmail.com

As of right now Im not putting AC back on but eventually I just plan to get the lines made somewhere.

Dude, if I were you, I'd just do it right now. If not you'll be like me and be driving the truck a year and a half later still with no a/c. LOL

You should really sell me those rims.. i love them. And nice conversion.
