2.6 Drivetrain Issues (pullers chime in)

Their was like 20 turbos before mine was built last month an I still don't have it some of them had to be at schied

There were 6 or 7 HX60s that bit the dust this weekend, but thats not something that happens all the time. It's pretty rare for them to blow actually, but some changes were made before the pull that affected the durability of them.

They let go rather easy if you overspeed them just like any other turbo. These hx60s that had problems at sdx did they all come out of the same shop.

I believe so. There was one from another shop that overspeed, but that truck spiked the motor when some of the driveline let go.

Protrusion was a terrible idea, many people knew this, I am confused to this day why it was ever allowed. Problem is far too much money has been spent to change this now, and the rule is locked for one more year.

This is dead on.

6 chargers blew and then add in the one from the spiked motor makes 7.

The only charger harts had fail was mine and was caused by the over rev from a broken input shaft. We have had no failures of our 2.6 chargers this year to my knowledge and we have many out there

So if any failed other than yours, it wasn't from Harts. Is that what I'm getting? I'm just curious what will last me a whole season next year.

Yes that's correct. Most of our guys are on there second season with no wheel failures to date

I was told the intake wheels where bending and then snapping off. But who really knows what to believe.
