Ran against an(almost) 10sec Civic...

Just noticing your weight, is your truck 2WD?

No it's 4WD.... but i still have the gasser axles, had to ESAB the rear diff after it grenaded.... ring and pinion are still holding though... but i plan on swapping my D80 rear and D60 front soon...

BTW my truck is a 1500 ECSB, i swapped everything from my 2500 ECLB because it was getting to rotted out ;) i am just still to swap axles..

D44 and C9.25 are not cutting it !

You are going to be so upset when you run it down the track. No way in hell you are in the 12's. Plain and simple.

Based on what?

Based on that i will be running bigger injectors... 750hp is my goal for the summer... billet input upgrade and dual disc SB clutch is on the list aswell...

i want to try to run it with the gasser axles before i swap the D80/D60 combo under it...

Currently low 12's based on future upgrades...sounds legit.

2wd common rail with no more then 600 hp and an AUTO. Best of 12.71 with an hx40 and street tires. Low 12's with a manual my ass...

Your axles are another reason i know your not in the twelves with a manual. No way they would hold up to the power it takes to get a manual in the twelves. High 13's if your lucky.

You're running a 92mm primary with a single disc clutch? Mother eff..,

Know how we know you're nowhere near 12's?

His truck is 4wd and well under 6000lbs. So IF... he gets to 750hp, and doesn't send parts flying, somewhere in the twelves are in range.

Guess i found out the hard way... differential got smashed up real bad about 10mins ago... so i guess i'll have to try it with the D80 out back and that D44 up front first ??

Guess you are seeing better 60ft running in 4WD.... but what about RWD times ?? better trap speed ??

I actually had a single disk hold in that 700hp range. Wide open in 4x4. BUT I didn't bring on the power until 2500+ rpm and I didn't launch it. That damn clutch amazed me, and shifted a hell of a lot better than the DD I have now.

Your times will be be wayyy better in 4wd. There is no benefit to running a truck like yours in 2wd. I cut 1.8 60 foots with my extended cab long box when it was a manual leveled on 35's. It was about 7100-7200 lbs and 450hp. My best time was a 14.0. It had a single disk clutch and actually held pretty good but I broke 3rd gear off the main shaft, 3rd off the counter shaft, 5th gear, and 2 input shafts. I got sick of replacing parts so I swapped in an auto and improved everything.

I've also seen a Valair 13" single, stock input, do a burnout on a dually with 35's. That was the same day I saw a member here run 7.8 in the 1/8 all day on a stock Allison. Hell, a good buddy of mine pulls regular drunk burnouts on 37" Mud Grapplers at 511 rwhp on a BONE STOCK G56. I don't know how the eff, but some are freaks.

My comment was more based on the fact that he's running 370's, single disc NV4500, and a Dana 44. Hell, he may be in the low 12's for all I know...I've seen crazier chit, I guess.

Mine was stock. :D Nobody could believe it, especially when I went with 180hp injectors and it still held. Every time I would add something Cliff(lostnwalmart) would go off about it destroying my clutch. It used to crack me up when it would hold every time! Then we pulled the motor, balanced it, did the head work blah blah blah and when we were putting it back in my DD wasn't in the area, so we put the stocker back in. And the damn thing held. LOL Finally on the highway I wouldn't be able to fully use 6th gear so it was time to replace it. After I had owned the dual disk for nearly two years. LOL

I wasn't paying attention to him and was just remarking out of the blue since I don't believe he has any clue what he's talking about....

^ Very true, there are freaks out there. I enjoy hearing about that kind of thing from somebody who actually knows diesels. I have seen some local dumazzes do stuff with a stock clutch that no one would believe, including a CR 5.9 with an overfueled 63/68/14 and a Smarty set to "Kill" pulling 8k lbs on a bone stock clutch at WOT.

You guys are backing down before times are even posted? You've gone soft while I was away....

And Amish, that was a really low blow on poor SINNER! :hehe:

It wouldn't surprise me about the truck. I'm more surprised that they have dragstrips and 10sec Civics in Iceland.
