Street trucks belong at "brush" pulls not major sanctioned events
I agree with you. I bet you don't see any street trucks at the NFMS this winter. This is only a 2.6 class. If you want to be a big time puller then build a big time pulling truck. Get out of a class that's based off of street trucks. It's a hobby....
It's was based of street truck 4 years ago. Not anymore

Didn't see any tube framed 2.6 trucks this year either
Lets see.... Do you have to run factory glass? OEM based transmission? OEM style transfer? Factory rear end housings ? DOT tires? Hmmmmm yep STILL based off if a STREET TRUCK!
street trucks don't have weight boxes, frames all braced up like a erector sets, hoodstacks, lawn tractor seats, water/ice to air intercoolers, rear ends with custom tubes and hubs to fit asshole large axles in them, leaf springs that don't touch the axle either....but yeah, I see how its still a street class......
Ok here the thing, you wanna act like 2.6 should stay a street class. Why? Too expensive for ya? It's motor sports player. Hence WS and 2.5. Costs as much as you want it to and since you keep saying it's a hobby, spend what you want, it's not like Caleb or Dustin is twisting your arm. I don't see anyone with banners on the wall *****ing about cost.
As for the nfms, you haven't a clue. Go talk to someone who pulled super stock last year. It was a cluster and quite frankly from what I was told, he's suprised they were invited back.
