I agree with you. I bet you don't see any street trucks at the NFMS this winter. This is only a 2.6 class. If you want to be a big time puller then build a big time pulling truck. Get out of a class that's based off of street trucks. It's a hobby....

Yep just looked at the driver list. Not one street truck at that major event

Lets see.... Do you have to run factory glass? OEM based transmission? OEM style transfer? Factory rear end housings ? DOT tires? Hmmmmm yep STILL based off if a STREET TRUCK!

I think some of guys want it. Along with open driveline. And I agree. It's cheaper in the long run.

BS....save that for 3.0 or superstock where it makes sense.

Insanity.....2.6 superstock, 3.0 superstock, unlimited superstock.....only difference is how high the smoke goes....

street trucks don't have weight boxes, frames all braced up like a erector sets, hoodstacks, lawn tractor seats, water/ice to air intercoolers, rear ends with custom tubes and hubs to fit asshole large axles in them, leaf springs that don't touch the axle either....but yeah, I see how its still a street class......

No way Mat. Open driveline It's the only way. Professional truck pullers only

Nice one.... But that's what rules open up when dealing with street trucks. And that's my point.

Ok here the thing, you wanna act like 2.6 should stay a street class. Why? Too expensive for ya? It's motor sports player. Hence WS and 2.5. Costs as much as you want it to and since you keep saying it's a hobby, spend what you want, it's not like Caleb or Dustin is twisting your arm. I don't see anyone with banners on the wall *****ing about cost.

As for the nfms, you haven't a clue. Go talk to someone who pulled super stock last year. It was a cluster and quite frankly from what I was told, he's suprised they were invited back.

Listen Bro. I'm I complaining bout cost. No. It is a hobby Are you making money from it? I probibly answer that one for u. What I am saying is watch what you ask for when changing rules. People will push them to the limit. Complaining about axles... Which people did about mine last. Guess what it meets the rules. So suck it. Never said it was a street class. Said it was based off a street class. Also open it up to open driveline if u want. I don't care. It's cheaper to do that in the long run

As for the farm show I do know. I was there. Did the trucks have some troubles? Yes. Did I enjoy watching them? Yes. Did I buy tickets for this year? Yes

BTW. What truck do you pull? Not sure who you are. Just like to know who's jumping me

Don't get your panties in a bunch jr. Nobody's jumping anyone here, just discussion. Let it evolve.

And me? Hmmm boogey man??

It's all good. Some are getting bent out of shape over this. It's a good group of guys and gals that pull with FPP.

So the street truck they let pull have all required safety equipment?

from phone

Trucks spinning less than 4000rpm don't have to blankets, dampners, suits etc...the only issue I had with most street trucks was not having the exhaust facing up. If you don't like it how Rick runs a pull don't show up, pretty simple.

The champ-I-o-n speaketh! All hail DRB! :woohoo:

I was impressed how the trucks tightened up towards the end of the year. I would hate to see progress go backwards.
